Sometimes an email comes through that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
This week, we received a message from Korra and Ruby's parents that truly touched our hearts.
While their family was away, our team noticed something concerning with Korra's back legs. Although she seemed to be acting normally afterward, our team knew it was important to reach out immediately.
Those aren't always easy phone calls to make, but they're important ones.
At Dog Mountain, caring for your pets is about so much more than playtime, belly rubs, and a comfortable place to sleep. It's about noticing the little things, communicating with families, and making sure every pet receives the same care and attention we would want for our own.
With their permission, we're sharing the thoughtful email we received from Kacie and Patrick. ❤️
Hi Dog Mountain,
I'm reaching out to absolutely praise your team.
Our dogs Korra and Ruby have been with you all several times and this last time needed a shout out.
Anytime they stay with you (or just see they're about to meet with Mel) they are always over the moon excited, and this time was no different. That being said, while we were out of town we got a call Sunday morning about Korra's back legs giving out on her.
1) Thank you for your immediate reach out on her, it helped us get in at the vet asap and get our schedule changed
2) Thank you for the compassion throughout the call and making sure to confirm she was acting normal after her initial stumble, but still taking the time to call us.
3) Thank you for a full review the next morning we got back into town so I can give the vet all the info.
We've not had the best experiences with past boarding facilities, but this past weekend has reaffirmed why we trust and have stuck with the Dog Mountain team.
You are all top-notch, and again we cannot thank you enough, we're happy we found you all.
— Kacie and Patrick
To Kacie and Patrick, thank you for trusting us with your precious girls. We hope sweet Korra is doing well!
And to our incredible Dog Mountain team, THIS is why the little things matter. Your compassion, attention to detail, and dedication do not go unnoticed.
As General Manager, there is nothing that makes me prouder than knowing the people caring for our guests truly understand the responsibility that comes with someone's trust.
Because at Dog Mountain, they're not just reservations on a calendar. They're family.
