Happy Mother’s Day to the moms of the stick, muddy-pawed, feather-flinging, scale-shedding, water-splashing little weirdos. ❤️🐾

Whether you’re raising tiny humans, dogs that eat everything, cats that sing at 3am, parrots with opinions, reptiles plotting your downfall, or fish you somehow love with your whole heart… you’re still doing the mothering thing.

You’re cleaning messes, losing sleep, carrying snacks, paying vet bills, worrying constantly, talking in weird voices, and building a life around creatures who depend on you completely.

It’s beautiful. It’s exhausting. It’s chaotic. It’s love.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom out there doing the thing — with fur on their clothes, crumbs in their car, and a phone full of photos of the beings they’d do absolutely anything for. 🖤 I see you and you are doing an amazing job ❤️🐾

Tallulah’s first ORT (odor recognition trial) so far we have passed birch and have anis and clove to go! Wish us luck! Thank you About Face K9 and Let’s Talk Dog for the wonderful event!

Every team I work with is a special team, but I have to say little Miss Veggie has stolen my heart. Veggies guardian had been working with her alone time distress for several years and had literally tried all the things that she could possibly try. Even with heavy sedation Veggie still would panic when left 100% alone, but her guardian didn’t give up. She reached out and found me and we’ve been working together ever since. Yesterday we hit a milestone and watched Veggie snooze for a whole 67 minutes. It feels like a miracle but really it’s science! I’ve been out of town so a little slow on posting. The baby just recently turned eight months old, he’s still full of energy and just a pretty hilarious addition to this household full of old bi***es (myself included). Here he’s desperately trying to get Xochi to play with him after he stolen a makeshift greenhouse for my seedlings. I was so apprehensive of adding him to the dynamic and we still have hard days, but I just can’t imagine life without this big goofy baby.
