🐾 Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. 🌈

To everyone who has had to say goodbye to a beloved pet, we are holding you extra close in our hearts today.

The bond we share with our patients and your furry family members is incredibly special. Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things a person can do, and we feel incredibly privileged to have cared for so many wonderful patients throughout their life journeys.

It is a special time to pause, reflect, and celebrate the incredible joy, laughter, and loyalty our late pets brought into our lives. While they may no longer be by our side, the love, joy, and muddy paw prints they left on our lives stay with us forever. We are here to honor and celebrate the beautiful lives they lived.

We remember them today, and every day. ❤️

Here are 4 simple steps to make travel day a breeze:

📦 Pre-game the carrier: Leave the carrier open in a favorite room for a few days. Put a soft blanket and high-value treats inside so they learn it's a safe zone.

🌿 Use calming pheromones: Spray the carrier bedding with a feline pheromone spray (like Feliway) 15 minutes before loading up.

🚗 Steady rolling: Avoid swinging the carrier when you carry it—hold it from the bottom like a fragile gift. Secure it on the car floor or seatbelt it tightly to prevent sliding.

🙈 Cover the view: Drape a light towel or sheet over the carrier during the drive and while waiting. Blocked visuals mean much lower anxiety!

We would like you all to help wish one of Raintree's own the best of luck in the upcoming Miss Washington Pageant! Sofia is part of the Miss Grays harbor Scholarship Program and currently holds the Title of Miss Pacific Coast 2026. For the talent portion of the competition she will be singing. The Miss Washington Pageant is held in Olympia, WA at Capital High School this next weekend. There will be 24 girls competing for the title and a winner will be crowned on July 11, 2026!

Don’t wait until the fireworks start! Take a few simple steps right now to ensure your four-legged family members stay calm, comfortable, and safe:

🔒 Keep Pets Indoors: Bring animals inside long before dark. Keep windows, blinds, and doors completely shut to minimize sudden flashes and muffle booming sounds.

🏷️ Update ID Tags & Microchips: Double-check that your contact information is current on their collar tags and registered on your microchip portal. If they escape, this is their ticket home.

🎵 Create a Cozy Safe Zone: Setup an interior room or a familiar crate with their favorite blankets. Turn on a fan, television, or calming music to drown out the noise outside.
