What do all of these dogs have in common? 🐾
Their owners didn’t give up on them.
Every one of these dogs had three or more trainers before they found me.
Their owners had already spent money. They had already put in time. They had already tried to get help. But something still wasn’t working.
And this is something I wish more people understood:
A dog knowing commands does NOT necessarily mean the dog is trained.
A dog can sit, down, stay, come, and even look perfect in a training session—and still be struggling with fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, impulse control, or other behaviors that can become dangerous.
Sometimes you need a different approach.
Sometimes you need a trainer who sees something the previous trainers missed.
Sometimes you need someone who focuses on real-world behavior, not just obedience commands.
I recently heard about a dog whose owners had spent a lot of money on training. The dog could perform its commands, but the underlying growling and behavioral issues were never truly resolved. Eventually, the dog bit their baby—and now that dog may lose its life because the right help didn't come soon enough.
Please don't wait until something terrible happens.
And please don't give up on your dog just because the first trainer didn't work.
If you and your dog aren't getting the results you need, find another trainer. Ask questions. Get another opinion. Keep looking.
Your dog may not need to be given up.
Your dog may just need the right trainer, the right approach, and someone willing to truly understand the dog in front of them.
That's what I believe in.
