Exciting news!!

Please welcome Dr. Francesca Maffezzoli, DMV, CVA, CVMMP

Born and raised in Italy, Dr. Francesca Maffezzoli graduated from Perugia Veterinary University in 2006 before moving to the United States to pursue her career.

With nearly two decades of experience in emergency medicine, Dr. Maffezzoli began to see emergency visits as just the tip of the iceberg. Her curiosity about what lies beneath the surface and the underlying causes of disease led her to explore integrative veterinary medicine approximately six years ago.

Her approach combines conventional veterinary medicine with acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), ozone therapy, veterinary medical manipulation, and functional medicine, with an emphasis on understanding the whole patient and supporting long-term health.

Dr. Maffezzoli is also the founder of Bella Vita Holistic Vet, a mobile integrative veterinary practice serving Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her husband, two boys, three cats, and Jack Russell Terrier “Nina”. She also loves returning to Italy to visit her family every year.

Dr Maffezzoli will initially be joining us on a very limited schedule, with the duration of this arrangement yet to be determined. We are incredibly fortunate and excited to welcome her to our team and look forward to the expertise and compassionate care she will bring to our clinic!

The truth is, we believe many veterinarians and veterinary technicians share these same concerns and opinions. Unfortunately, far too many have been silenced, intimidated, or afraid to speak openly because of the power and influence of those in positions of authority.

What she wrote was honest, courageous, and desperately needed. People should not be afraid to speak the truth about their experiences.

It’s time for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and the entire veterinary community to stand together. We cannot continue allowing fear, intimidation, and bullying to silence people.

When good people stay silent, nothing changes. It’s time to stand up, speak out, and demand accountability.
