She had 6!!! I can’t believe it. I honestly can’t. I’ve waited so long to have this litter… over 4 months….. maybe even longer… there is one very very very small runt so I’m going to keep a good watch on that one… it’s not screaming peanut to me which is good but I still worry. The term peanut is when you take two very small breeds or dwarf bunnies and breed them and they have a super small baby with potential issues like deformations. I’m not seeing any and it’s not showing me any signs of distress which is awesome. There is hope! I am keeping two girls out of this litter so once I figure out genders and how their SOPs are, I will post the rest for adoption! This will take about 6 weeks maybe longer depending on how they grow. Normally I allow people to reserve after the 2 week mark, sometimes sooner but because I am going down to 2 girls and 1 boy, I have to be very picky about who I choose to stay. This means I will only have 3 rabbits in total, in my entire rabbitry. I want to make sure each one gets spoiled and all the attention they deserve while I also navigate this life with my family and work. My “down” time or “personal” time is spent with them besides my children. But this also means I’ll be able to have 2 litters at the same time which also means if at any point they only have 1 kit or baby, I can “take” from the other moms babies to give to the other mom so that way the singleton has a better chance at making it. And it’s also good for the mom as well. I will feel much more organized and I also feel like this will open more time to post here on my page as well, giving more updates on them. Thank you all for your support and patience while I try to navigate all of these things in life and trying to balance everything out lately. So much has happened in the last year, I don’t know where to begin… but for now, let’s enjoy these little toes!!!!
