I’m very sorry for not posting as much, I have been watching these beautiful babies grow into their personalities and evaluating them as they do. I’ve also been undergoing career growth within my job, from Cashier to Temporary Assistant Manager, to Merchandising Freight Manager…. All within months… it’s been a long journey with lots of speed bumps but in the end it was well worth it. That being said for my Rabbitry, I’m keeping it small so I know I have more than enough time to continue bonding with the Adults I’m keeping as well as the time to socialize their babies as well. It’s very important to me that their qualities are high standards, and that means their temperament or their personality too! While Basil and Spyro are beautiful, calm, always willing to play and snuggle… our other girl is turning not so much to be that way. She has a piece of my heart because she’s been here for 4 months, I’ve been socializing with her but she is not liking it at all…. So she will be rehomed to someone who is very knowledgeable about rabbits who are very much independent. She doesn’t like to be picked up, she would much rather judge you from a distance. That being said she still deserves a loving home who will tolerate her judgement looks 😅 I already have a home for her as I know someone who will do just that, love her and spoil her, but from a distance…. 💕…. Spyro is such a good boy, he’s a bit bigger than I’d like him to be which is more than okay, but his time here might be short as I’m looking to make sure I’m keeping the babies weights at 3.5lbs at most; at mature weight or their adult weight. This is crucial for high standards. I’m not looking to be a back yard breeder and just throw two cute bunnies together. A lot of time goes into making sure I keep to the Mini Plush Lop standards 💕 and it’s well worth it! That being said, Basil is the best out of the three I have now. She is small at 4 months which is awesome!! She has great qualities and a super sweet personality… she is staying 🥰 once I get a moment tomorrow after work I’ll be posting pictures of Basil and Spyro to share what they look like. My plan will probably be to breed Spyro and Basil one time, maybe two, to keep a girl that’s much better for temperament/personality, then have someone adopt Spyro and I will be on the look out for a 3.5lbs or smaller male to keep in my rabbitry. That way I will have Basil, Basil’s Daughter and a new Male to add to our little rabbitry family. I believe that temperament can be genetic so I am not willing to breed them and then have people adopt a bunny who might turn out to be, well, not nice. That’s not right. Well, thank you for reading my rant 😅 but I also like telling people what I’m planning to keep those who watch in the loop! Thank you for those who are waiting patiently for Basil and Spyro to become of age to become parents to adopt, I know it’s taking some time but Basil will be ready to become a mom at 6-8 months depending on her weight and health 💕🥰💕
