Hey guys, my name is Ga***rd, but they like to call me Gregory.

I’m a little guy who had a pretty rough start. I was abandoned when I was only 2 weeks old and had to be bottle-fed and raised by a very kind family. They took amazing care of me and helped me grow into the happy, playful kitten I am today. ❤️

But there’s one thing I really miss… having a sibling! 🥺 I would LOVE a home with another kitten or young, playful cat who is my size and can keep up with my zoomies. I’m also not afraid of dogs, so I’m pretty easygoing when it comes to making friends.

I have some very important interests, too… like listening to music. 🎶 Classical is my favorite! I’m basically a tiny cultured gentleman.

Once I’ve gotten all my zoomies out, I’m more than happy to curl up with you for a good snuggle and kiss session. I’ll give you plenty of purrs in return.

I do need to be indoor-only, where I can stay safe and loved for the rest of my life.

All I’m looking for is a family who will love me, play with me, and maybe introduce me to a kitten friend who can be my new best buddy.

Please reach out to Alford Avenue Veterinary Hospital at 205-823-6002 and ask for Crystal (she's my foster mom)

Do you hear that wheeking sound? That's right, we have guinea pigs!

These sweet boys are ready for the next chapter of their lives, and we are hoping to find them the loving, knowledgeable homes they deserve.

Meet:

(Photo 1) Larry & Lawrence:
Larry is our short-haired guy with the short name 😉, while Lawrence is our long-haired boy with the longer name!

(Photo 2) Sir. Tickle bottom & Dumbledore:
Sir Ticklebottom is the short-haired, and Dumbledore is our fluffy long-haired wizard!

These boys have all been neutered and are patiently waiting for families who understand that guinea pigs are a commitment and deserve the very best care.

Before adopting, we ask that potential families are prepared to provide:

🥬 A proper guinea pig diet, including unlimited timothy hay, quality pellets, and fresh vegetables.
🏡 A spacious single-level enclosure that allows them room to move, explore, and be comfortable.
🪮 Regular brushing and coat care for our long-haired boys to prevent matting.

Guinea pigs may be small, but they have big personalities and big needs. They deserve more than just a cage in the corner, they deserve families who will learn about them, care for them, and treat them as the special companions they are.

Our hope is to find homes where these boys can be loved, spoiled, and cared for for the rest of their lives.

If you have the time, space, and heart to give these boys their forever home, please reach out to us at 205-823-6002 and ask for Crystal. Let's help Larry, Lawrence, Sir Tickle bottom, and Dumbledore find the families they've been waiting for.

We are so proud to celebrate Hunter and everything she's accomplishing!

Many of you may recognize Hunter from her summers working as a veterinary assistant at AAVH, gaining valuable hands-on experience while pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Dairy Science from Mississippi State University, she is now in her first year at Mississippi State's College of Veterinary Medicine and serves as a CVM Envoy.

Growing up on her family's beef cattle operation inspired her passion for veterinary medicine, and she hopes to practice mixed animal or exotic medicine after graduation.

Congratulations, Hunter! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll accomplish.

Congratulations to Markayla on being accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine (TUCVM) at Tuskegee University!

Markayla joined the Alford Avenue Veterinary Hospital family in 2023 to gain hands-on experience in the veterinary field, and from day one she has been dedicated, and eager to learn. Watching her grow and work toward this goal has been an honor, and we're so proud to see all of her hard work pay off.

We know this is just the beginning of an incredible journey, and there is no doubt that she will make a wonderful veterinarian. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your journey, Markayla. We are so excited to watch you continue to achieve your dreams and can't wait to see all the amazing things your future holds.

Help us congratulate Markayla!

⚠️Attention! Cute kitten alert! ⚠️

We have finally decided on some names. One of our staff members has graciously agreed to foster this little family. While taking care of them, she was able to come up with some pretty cute names!

Annie came to us with her name already, and her precious kittens are now known as Bud, Tulip, Violet, and Daisy. Here are some personality updates from their foster:

Annie: very shy but the sweetest girl when she warms up to you. Affection is on her terms. LOVES chin and ear scratches and circles you like a shark for pets. Loves food.

Daisy: LOVES meal time, she’s always the first one to the bowl and the last to leave. Is constantly playing with Mama’s tail.

Violet: a huge mama’s girl. Slightly more reserved than the others and a bit timid. She enjoys pets and likes cuddles when she’s sleepy.

Bud: the most outgoing kitten out of all of them. Loves to annoy his sisters. He is constantly zooming around and loves playing with toys. Most vocal.

Tulip: loves to explore and climb. Very curious. Big personality, loves the scratching board and pop up tunnels.

Contact us at 205-823-6002 and ask for Crystal if you are interested in adopting any of these sweet babies.

Requirements for adoption:
❤️Must be Indoor only
