This week we celebrated National Veterinary Technician week at AAVH.

We want to give a special shout out to our four Licensed Veterinary Technicians pictured here: (left to right) Raven, Debbi, Stephanie and Crystal! We’re so proud of these ladies and all they bring to our team. Their knowledge, dedication, and compassion make such a difference in the lives of our patients, and we’re incredibly thankful for all the hard work they do every day.

We also want to recognize our veterinary assistants and those currently working toward becoming Licensed Veterinary Technicians. We see the hard work you put in, the things you’re learning, and the love you give our patients, and we’re so proud to have you growing alongside us!

Veterinary medicine takes a special kind of heart, and we’re lucky to have so many people on our team who give theirs every day. Thank you all for everything you do! 🐾💙

This evening we'd like to shine a spotlight on Dr. Adam Cooner! Not only is Dr. Cooner a full-time veterinarian here at Alford Avenue Veterinary Hospital, but he has also recently taken on a teaching role at Auburn University.

Dr. Cooner serves as an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology, where he is currently teaching Reptile Anatomy and Medicine.

We’re proud to have a doctor on our team who is not only dedicated to caring for his patients but also helping educate and shape the next generation of veterinarians. His knowledge and passion for veterinary medicine extend beyond our clinic, and we’re excited to see him sharing that expertise with Auburn students!

Help us congratulate Dr. Cooner on this exciting opportunity! War Eagle! 🦅🧡💙

Hey guys, my name is Ga***rd, but they like to call me Gregory.

I’m a little guy who had a pretty rough start. I was abandoned when I was only 2 weeks old and had to be bottle-fed and raised by a very kind family. They took amazing care of me and helped me grow into the happy, playful kitten I am today. ❤️

But there’s one thing I really miss… having a sibling! 🥺 I would LOVE a home with another kitten or young, playful cat who is my size and can keep up with my zoomies. I’m also not afraid of dogs, so I’m pretty easygoing when it comes to making friends.

I have some very important interests, too… like listening to music. 🎶 Classical is my favorite! I’m basically a tiny cultured gentleman.

Once I’ve gotten all my zoomies out, I’m more than happy to curl up with you for a good snuggle and kiss session. I’ll give you plenty of purrs in return.

I do need to be indoor-only, where I can stay safe and loved for the rest of my life.

All I’m looking for is a family who will love me, play with me, and maybe introduce me to a kitten friend who can be my new best buddy.

Please reach out to Alford Avenue Veterinary Hospital at 205-823-6002 and ask for Crystal (she's my foster mom)
