Today, we remember and honor all of the heroes of 9/11 — including the four-legged ones. 🇺🇸🐾

More than 300 dogs served alongside their handlers in the search, rescue and recovery efforts at Ground Zero, working tirelessly in unimaginable conditions. Their courage, loyalty and service will never be forgotten. ❤️

Never forget. 9/11/01.

A little fall baking for the pups 🎃🐾🍂 Save this easy homemade Peanut Butter + Pumpkin Dog Treat recipe for a cozy fall afternoon:

🥜 2 Tbsp peanut butter
🎃 ½ cup pure pumpkin purée
🌾 2½ cups whole wheat flour
🥚 2 large eggs
✨ ½ tsp cinnamon
🧂 ½ tsp salt
💧 1 tsp water, if needed

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter, salt + cinnamon until combined. Work the dough with your hands, adding a little water only if needed. Roll to about ½-inch thick and cut into your pup’s favorite shapes.

Bake for about 40 minutes, until golden + crunchy. Let cool completely before the official pup taste test. 🤎

And one important reminder: always make sure your peanut butter is xylitol-free!

Happy fall baking! 🍁🐶
