The early Skye gets the Doe! 🦌🐕

Hope you’re seeing the pattern here! The hunter knew the shot was back, backed out, and was rewarded with a quick 250-yard track the next morning.

Skye did excellent! Big congratulations to the hunter for making the right decision and giving this deer the best chance of recovery!

Praise God! 🙏

A sad start to the story, but a bittersweet ending!

A young hunter shot this buck a little back Monday morning. He waited 4 hours before tracking and unfortunately bumped the deer from its bed. At that point, he reached out to a tracker who quoted him $300 to recover the deer. Unfortunately, that just wasn't in the budget.

Discouraged, the hunter did his best with a grid search, but after coming up empty, someone mentioned they thought they remembered seeing a in PA.

That's when I got the call Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday afternoon, I made the drive out to WMU 5A, and at the 57-hour mark, we were able to put this buck on the tailgate!

No charge. Tag filled. One happy hunter!

I can only imagine the emotional roller coaster this young man went through over those two days. Thankfully, this story had a happy ending. This is exactly why we do what we do. Every deer matters, and every hunter deserves a chance to recover their deer, regardless of their financial situation.

Praise God! 🙏

Luna didn't have ID. 😂🐕 Hunter questioned recovering a deer on his own property. No crime, no time!

All's well that ends well! 😂

This was a tough one! The hunter knew the shot was back and made the right decision to back out and give the deer time. Luna took the line strong the next morning!

450 yards in, we came across an empty bed. Luna tracked well for another 100 yards until we dropped down into a bowl where two creeks met. Between the scent pool and the thermals, this track became extremely difficult. On our way back to the last sign to attempt a third restart, I saw Luna’s head snap, and I knew she had figured it out! Another 100 yards and we found the deer in one of the creeks!

What a reminder to trust the dog and be patient when things get tough. Praise God for another recovery! 🙏

A nice PA mountain buck! We had an awesome opportunity to head north and track down this deer.

Big shout out to What The Buck Tracking and Tina Yandy for sending us this track!

Luna worked out a big grid search and bumped this deer from his bed about 300 yards in, at just 5 feet. We gave him some more time, and Luna was able to pick the track back up and lead us another 200 yards to where he was tucked up.

What an awesome track and a beautiful mountain buck! Praise God!

Career recovery #125! Praise God!

Truly blessed to have the opportunity to track this deer. This is the largest-bodied deer I have ever had the chance to lay hands on.

Big congratulations to the hunter! The shot was back, but the hunter made the right decision, backed out, and was rewarded for it.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is give that deer time. Praise God!
