Meet Ruk! (Pronounced like Ruke) Ruk is our latest Feuerhaus Forged project. I don't know much about his history other than he was picked up as a free dog for a hunt truck and didn't meet the expectations.

He has been with us for about a week now and what i do know is Ruk thinks the world is out to get him. He only knew one thing and that was flee. He will need sometime to decompress and just be a dog.

We believe that Ruk is about year and half to 2 years old. With his current state, it is hard to say what direction he will go in. He will tell us in his own time.

I got him out on leash today to walk down the driveway. We found a nice grassy spot to roll around in. He started the walk with his tail all the way underneath him, back hunched, wanting to flee. I was patient with him. Just let him be and By the time we made it back to the kennel, we had a more relaxed posture. We wont be rushing into anything with him. We hope to find a place for him whether thats as a bird dog or a family companion!

It was a good weekend for the Dem Feuerhaus family and extended family!

In South Carolina 2 Geno pups ran their NAVHDA NA test! Byrdie with a prize 1 112 and Troubadpur with a prize 1 110! Four puppies from the Ariat x Geno litter have tested in NA with an average score of 110!

In New Jersey, Kricket picked up 2 Jr hunter passes! She is from the Bruno x Mae litter.

And here in Texas, 2 boys from the Geno x Imori litter ran their NA test. Argos with a 108 prize 2 and Major with a prize 2! Thats 4 puppies from this litter with an average score of 105!

Two pups from the Geno x Hannah litter also ran their NA test and came back with a prize 3 103, tracks were tough in the heat but they did very well overall! 4 puppies from this litter have tested with an average score of 104!

Huge congratulations and thank you to these owners for testing their young dogs!

We have several started dogs finishing up this week and headed home! We are grateful to the owners who trust us with their dogs. Looking forward to seeing updates on these guys in the field this fall!

We have a started dog available! Penny is looking for a WORKING home. Someone to take her on runs and has the time to keep her busy. She has had 2 months of obedience training with another trainer as well as 2 months of our started dog program. She has been a house dog and a kennel dog. Could go either way. This is not a dog that can be left in your back yard. She needs a job. If you think you are a good fit for penny, please reach out!

Lir has a great nose, intense point, natural backer and covers ground/ adjust to cover on the prairie and grouse woods. His first weeked out in the ring he picked up a 4pt major under sporting dog judge, Carl Liepmann. Lir finished his American Championship with Four majors.

Imori is a high drive, full speed ahead bird dog with an excellent off switch. She was hunting in Kansas at 4.5 months old and pointing her first roosters. Duck hunting at 5 months old and bringing the ducks right to my feet. She gives her all with everything she does. She finished her CH with 3 majors, and 14 reserved placements, most of which, were to a major. She ran her Utility test at couple weeks ago with a high prize 2 just barely missing that prize 1.

Puppies will go home at 10 weeks of age. Applications can be found on my website!
