Cat Habitat Inc. - Homewood IL We are a non-profit 501(c)3 no kill cat rescue, partnered with Petco in Homewood. We have found homes for over 1,100 cats during our years at Petco!

Our mission is to prepare homeless cat for their adoptive homes, including medical care, spaying/neutering, nourishing food, socialization and lots of love! The donations we receive through adoptions are used for the care of additional felines. We promote the importance of not only being responsible pet owners, but to encourage others, including younger generations, to become involved in the care

and well-being of homeless animals! We are a non-profit, no kill 501(c)3 organization started in 2011. Cats are located at Petco in Homewood or with foster families. Prince is a 6 month old Siamese seeking a dedicated employee to handle his most important duties. These include feeding him royally, providing unlimited playtime, and admiring his handsomeness 24/7 and then extra.

This energetic little prince is playful, curious, and ready to take over your household. Experience serving royalty is preferred, but training will be provided.

Job requirements:
- Must be willing to provide meals on demand
- Must participate in daily play sessions
- Must recognize that Prince is, in fact, royalty
- Must provide excellent customer service (cuddles and no delay in playing when asked)

Stop what you’re doing. Put down the honey. The bee has arrived to the hive!

Meet Honeybee, a gorgeous 2 year old orange tabby who apparently didn’t get the idea that orange cats are supposed to share one brain cell and be crazy. She’s sweet, super laid back, and purrfectly well behaved.

Honeybee is the kind of girl who doesn’t need a whole lot of buzz around her. She’s perfectly happy being your sweet little companion and soaking up the good life.

And get this… she’s a female orange tabby! That makes her one rare little bee! You don’t come across that every day.

She’s also been doing bee-utifully with rabbits in her foster home and has great manners!

So… are you ready to bee the lucky person who gets to take Honeybee home?

Honestly, we are running out of bee puns and she’s running out of excuses not to bee adopted. Send us a message if you would like to welcome her to your hive!

Smokey Joe: Male, black and white, 2 years
- very friendly, wants nothing but love and attention! He will demand attention and nothing but attention, he also LOVES food!

Melon: Male, light orange, 6 months
- very friendly, looooves to play! He wants to play, play, and play some more! Also enjoys the occasional pets and chin rubs from his people!

Dusty Rose: Female, tan, gray and white, 2 years
- sooo goofy! She’s a talkative girl and loves to play, and run and do what Dusty does. Shes a very busy gal!

Just a month ago, Cat Habitat took in Freckles. She was sweet and wanted love, but scared at petco with the noise and spent her days hiding. Her lovely adopter found her on Petfinder, and a week later, freckles is home! She is loving her new mom, has a quiet home all to herself and was even asking for love and attention soon after getting home!

This shows the true difference that the environment can make for any living creature. From being a stray to Petco, now freckles has her furever home.

A reminder for everyone, please!

Cat Habitat is not a shelter. We do not maintain a facility or building to house cats. We rely on our fosters to care for our cats day in and day out to prepare them for their forever home. Due to this, we do not rehome cats who have a home with somebody. We rescue sick and injured cats who are down on luck, and nurse them back to health before we adopt them out. We do not accept owner surrenders.
