Here are some steps we took during the pet expo to keep our guinea pigs safe 🖤

• We kept piggies in covered carriers so they had all of their essential items in a safe, confined area

• Only volunteers handled piggies (and in short intervals)

• All guests were required to use hand sanitizer before petting or feeding piggies treats we brought

All of the guinea pigs we brought did so well and we had such a great time!

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us and to our amazing volunteers for all of their hard work!

Baby Gelato 🤎

This guy will always have such a special place in my heart.

First, his mama was thrown in a dumpster while she was pregnant with him. Then, he ended up born in a shelter where he got yucky medicine in his mouth and scary baths. Then, he got taken from his mama and sisters to live alone… It’s so unfair.

We are so close to being able to send him home with the most amazing piggy mama, where he will have a big brother and a C&C mansion!

I’m so grateful to have my sweet baby Arwen 🩷

Her tear ducts do not function properly due to traumatic ocular ulcers and infections as a baby, so we never run fans in our piggy room and she gets Optixcare lubricant anytime she looks dry.

She is also getting a bit too chunky, so I’m adding space to the enclosure and going to start feeding pellies in a treat ball instead of a bowl to get her moving more.

Can’t believe our baby girl turns 1 next month! 💕
