🐾❤️ What Makes House of Dog So Special? ❤️🐾
This is going to be a longer post, but we promise it’s worth the read! 🐶
We always receive such wonderful feedback when we share a little behind-the-scenes look at House of Dog, so we wanted to highlight some of the things that make us stand out and why we take so much pride in what we do!
At House of Dog, we’re so much more than just a doggy daycare and boarding facility. We truly put our hearts into making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, loved, and, most importantly, HAPPY! 🐾
🌙 24-Hour Overnight Supervision
One of the biggest things we’re proud to offer is 24-hour monitoring for all of our overnight boarding guests! Your dogs are never left completely alone overnight. Having staff around the clock gives us the ability to keep a close eye on our boarding guests and provides that extra peace of mind for our clients.
❤️ Our Incredible Staff
Something we’re especially proud of is our team! The pet care industry can experience a lot of employee turnover, but we’ve been fortunate to have a wonderful group of employees who genuinely love what they do and enjoy being part of House of Dog.
Our staff build real relationships, not just with the dogs, but with their families too! Whether it’s chatting during drop-off and pickup or running into clients outside of work, those relationships mean so much to us. Our clients aren’t just another reservation, and their dogs aren’t just another number.
🦴 Homemade Treats Made With Love
One of our favorite little extras is our Treat of the Day! Our employees handmake these special treats for the dogs who sign up for them.
There’s a lot of time, creativity, and love that goes into preparing them, especially around the holidays when we get to make things extra festive! 🎃🎄💕
🏡 Indoor Play & A Clean Environment
As many of you know, House of Dog is an indoor facility, which has some pretty great benefits!
Rainy day? No problem! Your dogs can still run, play, socialize, and burn off energy without worrying about the weather.
Another huge priority for us is cleanliness! Our facility is cleaned and disinfected multiple times throughout the day. Our employees are constantly staying on top of cleaning protocols to maintain a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for every dog in our care.
🐕 Ongoing Staff Training & Education
Working with dogs is so much more than just loving them!
We regularly provide training refreshers for our employees and bring in certified dog trainers to help educate our staff on canine body language, proper yard management, safe handling techniques, and understanding different dog behaviors.
We want our handlers to continue learning, growing, and becoming more confident in their ability to care for your dogs.
🐾 Encouraging Good Manners & Basic Obedience
Playtime at House of Dog isn’t just about running around and having fun! We also love incorporating basic obedience and good manners into our daily playgroups.
Throughout the day, our handlers regularly practice simple commands such as sit, down, and other basic control exercises with our daycare dogs.
These little training moments help encourage good listening skills, impulse control, patience, and positive behavior, even in an exciting environment surrounded by other dogs!
While we’re not replacing formal obedience training, we believe that reinforcing these small behaviors throughout the day can make a big difference.
Our goal is to make daycare not only fun and social, but also a positive learning experience for every dog! 🐶❤️
💛 Enrichment Programs for Every Personality
We understand that not every dog enjoys large group play, and that’s perfectly okay!
That’s why we offer our Enrichment Program, which allows dogs to enjoy a fun, engaging day with one-on-one attention from our handlers.
Whether it’s individual playtime, walks, activities, or mental stimulation, we make sure those dogs are still getting plenty of attention and enrichment throughout their day.
We even schedule an additional dedicated handler each day specifically to care for our enrichment dogs!
📱 Easy Communication With Our Clients
We know how important it is to feel connected to your dog while they’re in our care!
Through our client portal, you can easily send us a message, ask questions, and receive updates. We do our best to respond quickly and can even send pictures directly through text or email.
We always want our clients to feel comfortable reaching out!
🚐 Our Convenient Shuttle Service
Busy schedule? We’ve got you covered!
We offer pickup and drop-off shuttle services for both daycare and boarding guests. It’s just one more way we try to make life a little easier for our clients while making sure their dogs still get to enjoy their time at House of Dog!

These events take a tremendous amount of planning, decorating, preparation, and creativity from our staff, but we absolutely LOVE doing them!
From adorable photo opportunities and homemade treats to special crafts and little goodies to take home, we try to make each event something memorable for both the dogs and their families.
