A University of Wisconsin-Madison student group is under investigation after promoting a raid at Ridglan Farms last month.

Jackson Ray, President of Animal Advocacy at UW-Madison, tells us the move is “troubling.”

“I feel honestly a little sad that the university feels it necessary to do this. I mean I got into activism because of a philosophy class from UW-Madison. It's through sociology, my education there, that I've come to understand these systems of power and why I'm continuing to do this and continuing to question what we're told,” Ray said.

Animal Advocacy posted flyers that said, “Return to Ridglan Farms"… "Save the Beagles.”

Now the University is investigating whether the group violated school policy and broke any laws.

“They want to get us for solicitation and set a clear precedent that this sort of ‘radical’ activism-- as they look at it-- will not be tolerated,” Ray said.

The University tells us this is not a criminal investigation, but it could lead to sanctions.

CALL TO ACTION: Contact Governor Evers for the remaining 650 dogs

1,500 dogs have left Ridglan Farms and are starting their new lives as free dogs.

But 650 dogs are still waiting inside.

650 dogs still waiting for grass and sunlight.
650 dogs who deserve the same happy ending the 1,500 are getting.

Please call Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and urge him to issue an executive order directing the remaining 650 dogs at Ridglan Farms to shelters and animal care facilities for adoption.

This is a legacy moment for Governor Evers. Years from now, people will remember whether Wisconsin’s leaders looked away — or stepped in when 650 dogs still needed them.

So far, Governor Evers has remained incredibly quiet on this issue. Now is the time for him to speak up and act before it’s too late.

Please call Governor Evers’ office today and respectfully ask him to act.
