He is a 60 pound, one year old puppy who loves to play with his foster brother and sisters, cuddle, follow you from room to room, do zoomies, and entertain himself with his bowl. Congratulations Crixus on your furever home!! Last weekend this big boy found his new home with a family whose Dad previously ran the first Pit Bull rescue in Kentucky for 10 years. Jonathan still loves bully breeds and black dogs. What a score!

Crixus' original family had rescued him and his sister as puppies when they were dumped near the railroad tracks. They searched for a rescue to help them or an adopter. Nobody offered any assistance. They kept looking, and in the meantime raised this boy, and got him vetted. When we posted that we had an adopter looking for a dog with Crixus' qualities they were the first to reach out to us.

Sometimes it takes a long time for dogs to get to where they are going. Patience and persistence is key. Much thanks to Crixus' new family and his first one..

We have another adopter who we are seeking a dog for. She is a senior lady, 72 years old, and hence needs a senior or adult dog (I would say 5 years or older). She does not have a lot of requirements other then wanting a

-Medium sized dog
-CALM dog
-Dog who likes to walk.
-Dog with good leash skills
-OK with kids ( she just found out she will be having a grand kid)

The adopter is ready and waiting to meet some dogs. Please send us a bio with stats on the dog and a few good, clear photos. Please text or email to the info below, DON't just comment here. The dog must be in the Louisville are or you must be willing to drive them here for a meet and greet and take the dog back if the adoption falls through. Congratulations Dante!! Happy adoption day sweetheart. We were very happy to help find this boy his wonderful furever home. Thank you to Peggy, his wonderful advocate for stepping up for this boy when his first family abandoned him. You are Dante's hero. Now he has a home full of very devoted women and some kitties siblings. Happy New life beautiful boy.
