Today is a very special day in my heart.

On June 6, 2022, this little girl came into my life. What makes that date even more special is that it is not only Mochi's Gotcha Day, but also her birthday.

Just four months earlier, on February 1, 2022, I lost my beloved Aleyka. The grief was overwhelming, and my heart felt completely broken. Then, when I needed love, comfort, and a reason to smile again the most, the universe sent me Mochi.

Through Get A Life Rescue, Stacy brought this tiny little soul into my world, and I will forever be grateful. From the moment she arrived, she became my shadow. Wherever I go, she goes. She has filled my days with laughter, companionship, and unconditional love.

Mochi is the sweetest little girl. She loves her snacks, believes every meal should be shared with her, and is the biggest snuggle bug imaginable. She has a way of making even the hardest days feel a little lighter. Her tiny paws have left the biggest footprints on my heart.

Sometimes I like to believe that Aleyka had a hand in all of this. That somehow she knew I would need another little angel to help me heal and made sure Mochi found her way to me. Whether that's true or not, I know one thing for certain: Mochi came into my life exactly when I needed her most.

Happy 8th Birthday and Happy Gotcha Day to my beautiful girl. Thank you for being my bright spot, my shadow, my comfort, and one of the greatest blessings of my life.

And thank you to Stacy and Get A Life Rescue for bringing us together. ❤️🐾
