🐱🤧 CAT URIs: THE SNEEZE IS REAL!

If your cat suddenly sounds like a tiny freight train—sneezing, sniffling, or sporting some eye boogers—they may have an upper respiratory infection (URI).

URIs are very common in cats, especially kittens and cats coming into rescue. They can spread easily from cat to cat and are often caused by viruses.

Common signs:
🤧 Sneezing
👃 Runny or stuffy nose
👀 Watery or goopy eyes
😴 Lethargy
🍽️ Decreased appetite
😿 Sometimes fever or mouth ulcers

❤️ Here at Pawsitive Cause, we treat many cats and kittens with URIs, especially during kitten season. Most mild cases respond well to supportive care, patience, and a little TLC. Some kitties need medications and veterinary care, while more serious cases may require additional treatment.

One tricky part? When cats are congested, they can’t smell their food as well—and that can turn even the hungriest kitten into a very picky eater! 😹

🐾 If your cat is having trouble breathing, isn’t eating or drinking, or seems extremely sick, contact your veterinarian right away.

A sneeze isn’t always a big deal… but when you’re running a rescue, “ACHOO!” can be a daily soundtrack! 😂❤️

💔 TOP DECK’S DERMATOLOGY NIGHTMARE 💔

Poor Top Deck is dealing with a nightmare. 😿 His head and neck are covered in severe scabbing and painful open wounds, and we know he needs more than we can figure out on our own.

Top Deck needs to see a veterinary dermatologist to determine what is causing this horrible skin condition and, most importantly, get him the treatment he desperately needs.

And unfortunately, specialized dermatology care can be very thousands of dollars. Between the consultation, diagnostics, testing, medications, and whatever treatment comes next, we are expecting this to be a significant expense for our rescue. 💔

Top Deck didn’t ask for this. He shouldn’t have to live with a body that hurts and wounds that won’t heal. He deserves the chance to feel comfortable, heal, and finally just be a cat again. 🥺❤️

We’re reaching out for help because our rescue funds are limited, and Top Deck needs us now. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us get him one step closer to answers and relief.

🙏 If you can help Top Deck get to the dermatologist, please consider donating. If you can’t donate, sharing his story is just as important.

Please keep this sweet boy in your thoughts as we work to figure out what is happening to him. ❤️

🧡 Meet Hairy Larry! 🧡

Larry is an adorable 2-year-old orange & white neutered male who has already been through quite a bit in his short life. 🥺🐾

When Larry came to us, he had a severe abscess on his back leg that caused significant swelling and made him not want to walk. Thankfully, after some much-needed antibiotics, TLC, and lots of care, Larry started feeling SO much better! 🥰

Now this handsome guy is ready to trade his recovery room for a FOREVER HOME! 🏡❤️

Larry is sweet, playful, funny… and just a tiny bit sassy! 😹 He has plenty of personality packed into his little body and will keep you entertained with his kitty antics.

He’s come so far, and we would love to see him finish his journey with a family of his very own. ❤️

🌈 Prism Needs Your Help 🌈

Meet Prism. 💙 This handsome male neutered white Domestic Shorthair came to Pawsitive Cause in rough shape, suffering from severe gastrointestinal upset and significant weight loss.

Something is clearly not right, and we need to get answers. 🥺

Our veterinary team is recommending an abdominal ultrasound to take a closer look at what’s happening inside and help determine the cause of Prism’s ongoing GI problems and weight loss. The ultrasound will hopefully give us the information we need to create a treatment plan and get this sweet boy feeling like himself again.

💔 Unfortunately, diagnostic testing can be expensive — especially for a rescue already caring for so many animals in need.

We would love to raise funds specifically for Prism’s ultrasound and medical care. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us get one step closer to answers for him. ❤️

Please consider donating, sharing his story, or simply keeping Prism in your thoughts. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference. 🌈💙

Let’s get Prism the answers he deserves.

🐾 Meet Bubba — our one-of-a-kind boy! 💙

Bubba may have a unique little leg, but don’t let that fool you… this boy doesn’t think he’s any different! 😂🐶

When Bubba came to us, his left front paw was clearly abnormal. It appears he suffered a fracture when he was a very young puppy that healed on its own incorrectly. We initially considered amputation, but after getting him evaluated by a veterinarian, we learned that Bubba can walk, run, and play without pain. His leg is perfectly okay to stay—and honestly, we think it just gives his already-happy personality a little extra character. 🥰

Bubba is a playful, goofy, energetic puppy who LOVES wrestling with other dogs. He currently lives with cats, too! If they run, he thinks they must want to play chase 😆, but he’s also perfectly happy to play with the cats who decide to give him some attention.

Because Bubba plays hard and loves his puppy roughhousing, he would do best with older children who can handle his energetic play style.

He’s already neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his forever family! ❤️

Bubba has overcome a rough start and hasn’t let it change his outlook on life one bit. He’s happy, silly, playful, and ready to be someone’s best friend.

Could Bubba be the goofy little guy you’ve been looking for? 🐾💙
