👻 Monster of the Week: small villains, big pet problems.

They don’t knock. They don’t need an invitation. And they definitely don’t leave when Halloween ends. Meet the lineup our veterinary team wants you to watch for:

🧛 Fleas: The Tiny Vampires
Their bites can cause intense itching and allergic skin reactions. These unwanted guests can also settle into your home, making consistent, pet-appropriate prevention important.

🕷️ Ticks: The Hitchhikers
They attach to pets and can transmit disease. Check your pet after outdoor adventures and ask us which tick protection fits their lifestyle.

🪱 Intestinal Worms: The Hidden Houseguests
Some pets have no obvious symptoms—and you won’t always see worms in their stool. Stool testing helps us find infections that might otherwise go unnoticed.

🦷 Dental Disease: The Creature Beneath the Gumline
Bad breath isn’t always just “dog breath.” Inflamed gums, painful teeth and trouble chewing deserve a closer look. Home dental care and veterinary dental exams work together to protect that smile.

👂 Ear Infections: The Head-Shaking Haunting
Scratching, redness, odour or discharge can signal a problem. Different causes need different treatments, so skip the mystery drops and let us investigate.

📞 Noticed something suspicious? Call our team to schedule a visit or review your pet’s preventive care. These villains don’t deserve a sequel. 🎬🐾

🎬 THE UNTRIMMED CLAW 🐾
Coming soon to a hardwood floor near you.

Click. Click. Click.
Something is coming down the hallway.
And it desperately needs a nail trim. 😳

The villain? Overgrown nails.
The soundtrack? Impossible to ignore.
The victim? Your legs when someone gets excited to see you.

Long nails can make walking uncomfortable and may snag, split or curl into paw pads. A little routine care can help keep this thriller from becoming a painful sequel.

📞 Call us to schedule a nail trim—let’s give those claws a less dramatic ending! 😂

👻 A haunted house, but it’s a veterinary practice…

Behind every door:
🍫 A dog who ate the entire bag of chocolate. Including the evidence.
🐈 A suspiciously untouched litter box.
🦮 Retractable leashes stretched across the waiting room like tripwires.
🫣 “He doesn’t bite…” whispered from the shadows.
💊 “Did I give Cooper his medication today?”
💻 And somewhere down the hall… “Well, Google said…”

And that’s just the first hallway. 👻😂

All jokes aside, you never have to be afraid to tell our team what happened—or what you’ve read online. Honest details help us care for your pet. 🧡

⚓🐾 Before cats supervised our laptops, they helped supervise ships.

A little maritime history for Columbus Day: sailors kept cats aboard to help protect supplies from rodents—and for companionship on long voyages. A pretty big job for someone who naps that much. 🐱

These days, your pet’s adventures might stay closer to home, but we know how much it means to have them by your side. Our team is here to help keep your favorite companion healthy for wherever life takes you. ❤️

Breeding season is gearing up! Last week, Dr. Josh Thompson bred a mare with frozen semen and today Dr. Mike Thompson flushed an embryo for vitrification (freezing)! Once vitrified, this embryo will be stored until the owner is ready to implant it into a recipient mare to carry! Breeding season is one of our most fun times of the year!
