š¾ WILLOW BEND WEDNESDAY ā LUKEāS STORY š¾
How does a dog who was left to starve still have so much love to give?
That is the thing about dogs that will never stop amazing us.
Luke was left locked inside a house with no food and no water after his owner moved away. We donāt know exactly how long he was there. We only know it was a long time.
Long enough that he was desperately hungry.
Long enough that he was desperately thirsty.
Long enough that he should have given up.
But Luke didnāt.
Someone found him. And somehow, through all of it, Luke still believed that people could be good.
He didnāt come to us angry.
He didnāt come to us looking for revenge.
He came looking for love.
And he found Sam.
Luke immediately took up with him, and watching this sweet boy soak up attention and affection is heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time. ā¤ļø
He still wants to love. He still wants to trust. He still wants a family.
Once Luke gets healthy, we know he is going to make someone the BEST. BEST. FRIEND. He has so much love left to give.
But getting Luke healthy costs money.
And Luke isnāt the only one, many of the dogs we take have been neglected, abandoned, injured, sick, hungry and forgotten. We do everything we can to give them what they should have had all alongāa full belly, a safe place, medical care, and someone who believes they are worth saving.
This Willow Bend Wednesday, we are asking you to help us pay for Luke and all the others just like him.
Abandoned to Adored receives NO public funding and NO financial support from the city or county. We depend completely on people who believe these dogs deserve another chance.

Maybe Lukeās story reminds you of why you love dogs.
Maybe it makes you angry that someone could leave him behind.
Maybe it breaks your heart to think about what he endured.
Please donāt let that be where his story ends.
Help us make sure Lukeās story ends with a warm bed, a full belly, a family who loves himāand a life where he never has to wonder where his next meal is coming from again.
Luke didnāt give up on people.
Please donāt give up on Luke. ā¤ļøš¾
