What Goes Around....

These young, eager adopters knew Penny (by a different name) as soon as they saw her picture online!

They came out to our kennels, saw her, and immediately knew she was the dog for them! Word has it Penny got kisses while they were walking her!

Congratulations on finding the perfect dog! Happiness abounds.

Bear In Mind ……..

…. That when you’ve had a few cats in your lifetime, you know exactly what you’re looking for in adopting a new one.

And this gal and her husband knew they wanted an older cat. In stepped BEAR (online). They came out to meet him, and it was LOVE all the way.

CONGRATULATIONS on your new cat! We look forward to hearing great things about Bear.

Just Our $.02 Two Cents ~

Meet Penny! She is a 6 year-old Bulldog/Pug cross. She weighs 27 pounds and has a beautiful coat. She has personality in her back pocket. She has good energy and calms down quite easily.

Penny needs daily eye drops/ointment to prevent dry eye (in these breeds). She has had a hematoma in her left ear with an infection that has cleared up, but will need periodic vet care. Penny takes her meds without a hitch.

If you’re looking for a small bulldog type dog, you might want to call (831) 634-1191 or stop by and ask for PENNY!

We are located at 2975 Buena Vista Rd. in Hollister, CA. Hope to see you out here.

Persistence Pays off … in meows and purrs, and all that is kittens!

These two young ladies came in to our facility with their father at least a month ago. They picked out one kitten and then seemed indecisive about getting a second one. So they came back a day or two later.

Well, their minds were certainly made up. It’s just that neither kitten was spayed yet. They still had to grow up a little. Which meant the girls couldn’t adopt them yet.

Just this past week, they asked if the kittens were ready. And, Presto! Two new kitties, CeeCee and Milo were adopted!

Lucky pups! 😉

::: Update on Wolfgang ::: He was adopted on October 8, 2026.

Wolfgang - is not the guitarist born to Eddie Van Halen, or the noted composer of the 18th century, nor the middle name of the actor who played Harold in "A Few Good Men" - but a sweet feline in our Kitten Room.

If you're looking to adopt a sweet gray kitten, look no further than Wolfgang or Pepper, his litter-buddy. We are located at 2975 Buena Vista Rd. in Hollister, California. We are open on weekends.

Hope to see you out here.

Pleased As Punch ~

These two ladies came in to Pet Friends to “look at the kittens,” which is a statement we hear 👂🏼 quite often.

Upon their exit from the Kitten Room back to the office 📑, they reported to us that they wanted TWO kittens.

They had fallen in LUV 💙💚🩵with these two kitties, a Scottish Fold in Callum and our adorable little orange boy, Smiley. So naturally we had to take two pictures! 📷

Congratulations on your new kitty family!

Dayna, the grey and white fluff-bomb, who came in with her 6 littermates, was adopted today! Her new owner saw her 8x10 glossy right here on Facebook and wanted to meet her.

They came out and fell in love. She's the first to be adopted from her litter. How 'bout that for a Saturday morning!
