🐱 WHY DO WE HOST DISCOUNTED SPAY/NEUTER CLINICS?
Because helping our community means preventing the next unwanted litter—not just finding homes for the last one.
📊 About 3 MILLION cats entered U.S. shelters and rescues in 2025. That’s roughly 8,200 cats every day.
🐾 One unspayed female can have up to THREE litters a year, with five or six kittens per litter. That could mean 15–18 kittens needing homes—and her kittens can begin reproducing as young as four months old.
🏡 A “free kitten” still comes with a financial commitment. The ASPCA’s published 2021 care budget estimated $1,149 per cat annually—about $96 per month. That is an older estimate, and today’s actual costs vary and may be higher, especially with illness or emergencies.
💵 What does spay/neuter cost in Oklahoma? Prices vary widely. Two Oklahoma veterinary hospitals currently publish cat neuter prices of $95–$114 and spay prices of $180–$215 or more. These are examples, not a statewide average, and included services vary.
Our cat clinic prices are:
❤️ Females: $85
❤️ Males: $65
❤️ Rabies vaccination included!
Rescues and shelters work hard, but they cannot solve overpopulation alone. Rehoming cats without arranging spay/neuter leaves the door open to more unwanted litters. Owners, rescuers, and adopters all have a part to play.
We offer these clinics to make surgery more accessible to our rural communities. Please take the next step: schedule the appointment, follow the instructions, and get your cats fixed—males AND females!
We’re doing our part. We need our community to do theirs, too. 🐾
