Hi everyone, an update for you. I was admitted to the hospital for 4 days and have broken free. Unfortunately, no real answers(as expected). I am doing slightly better, and have big hopes of returning to work this Friday or Saturday (fingers crossed). I know several of you are not pleased with having your appointments cancelled, but Sarah is doing the best she can to groom as many dogs as possible working extra days.
With autoimmune issues, you kind of just have to wait until they decide they’re done destroying your body. There are some treatments for what I have, but it’s more so just resting and hoping. I am on a new medication regiment, so hopefully that will start helping soon. I had/have some follow up appointments today and tomorrow, and maybe more will come from that. The stress= flare up = more stress because you own a business cycle is very hard to get a handle on.
I must address that any unpleasant remarks and aggressive repeated texting, will have you swiftly removed from our client list. I have never had to take more than a day off in my entire grooming career, and would love nothing more than to return to work, as it is my livelihood. There is no sick time in this job, so trust me: I need to be at work. If you have such an issue waiting a few extra weeks, please seek a new groomer. If you are having delays getting your text answered, please be mindful that Sarah is conversing with dozens of customers a day while trying to work alone with live animals.
To the majority who have been very kind and understanding, I appreciate you immensely. I never put my health first, and this has become a grave reminder that I must do so. I have to wait until I am functional in order to return, so hopefully that is this Friday or Saturday (fingers crossed again) . We promise to keep everybody updated!

Hello everybody, Libby here. It is no secret by now that I haven’t been at work in a week. I made a short appearance yesterday, and it didn’t last long. In fact it wound me up at the hospital again, where I’m now going to be stuck for several days. Last week my little dog (Noodle) was very sick for 4 days, resulting in several ER visits. Now it’s my time to shine I guess!
I am so sorry to everyone who has had their appointments cancelled. Sarah is doing her very best to get in as many people as she can. She has been tasked with taking care of my dogs, the entire shop, and all of its duties. If you feel the need to go somewhere else for your grooming that was due this week, I would never be offended. We just hope you come back! I am just not sure how soon I can get all of my people back in, since about 50 appointments were cancelled this week.
To be transparent, I have several autoimmune issues acting up right now, and it is a waiting game to see when they subside. I have spent many years managing myself in a functional way, but unfortunately right now everything has come to a head. If you know me, you know that it takes a lot for me to not go to work. I hope you can all understand my sincere apologies for my absence. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can be back to work Tuesday, but I will need to take it slowly and not work 60 hours a week (like I want to.) Please give us some patience and grace we try to figure all of this out this coming week. Thank you everyone!

Hello everybody! Libby here. We have come to this time again. We haven’t had a price increase in 2 years, so unfortunately we are at that point where we need to. The current state of the economy has shown its teeth, and grooming equipment has gone up 20-40% depending on the item. Most everything is imported, and our scissors and blades are Japanese stainless steel, which has gone up tremendously. A blade that used to be $40 is now $80. Shampoo that used to be $70 a gallon is now $100 a gallon. Clippers that used to be $350 are now $550. Sharpening used to be $10 a scissor, and is now $20 a scissor. Not to go on and on, just want to give a clear picture here.
We refuse to lower the quality of equipment and products that we use. I will not be buying cheap shampoo and low quality equipment to maintain prices. We will not settle for anything less than the best quality service we can provide your dog.
Not every single dog is going up, but most are. Increases will be between $5-$25 depending on the type of grooming you get. Increases will begin on 8/1/26.
Thank you for sticking around if you read all of this. We know the heat of the economy is getting to everyone, and I can assure you that this is not something we want to do. Thank you for entrusting us with your dogs care. We love them like they are our own, and want to take the best possible care of them that we can. Please reach out if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
