The Holden Veterinary Clinic team would like to welcome you to our site and our hospital. We hope that it will give you some insight into our commitment to caring for our clients and patients. Rice III opened the doors of our hospital on October 1, 1969. Since that day, the Holden Veterinary Clinic has been known for excellent medical and surgical care in the Holden area. Forty-one years later, Dr. Danielle Friend and Dr. Bridget D’Onofrio continue his pledge to offer the best care available to our patients and their families. We are committed to preventive medicine, to client education, and to constant furthering of our own educations, so that we may continue to bring modern medical and surgical techniques to our patients.

A 6.6 yr MN K9 Pug presented for weight loss and inappetence, so we took an x-ray and this is what we found. So our new friend (did I mention this was his first time meeting us??) went into surgery as we had an opening and we removed 72 hair ties!!
He is well on his way on recovery but boy, everyone was surprised. Good job team.
Also congratulations to CVT Audrey for guessing the closest at 75 hair ties

Thank you to our clients for allowing us to make this educational post!
Our patient (7yr old 12lb dog) presented for an increase of urinations in multiple spots with straining. A sterile urine was collected and came back with reason to believe there was a UTI, so antibiotics were prescribed. However when the patient’s symptoms got worse we recommended some radiographs and BEHOLD, there were bladder stones. 2 large (over 3/4 of an inch!) and 3 small stones.
We appreciate our clients’ trusting their gut, our care, and recommendations, today the stones were removed and hopefully the patient is on the road to recovery!
