We would love to find a foster for Mamma dog, Missy. She is good around other dogs. She did great in the office while somebody was there but not so great when she was left unattended overnight. She would need to be with someone who is home most of the day. She has been staying close by when let out but not sure how she would do if her babies weren’t here for her to watch over. She has weened her pups and is now ready to get fixed next month and find her furever home. If you can let her hang out with you for awhile she would be so grateful. She is extremely calm and laid back (but may destroy things if left unattended for long). She also broke out of her kennel.

We need volunteers! We are looking for volunteers to help clean the shelter and mow. If you have a mower and you want to help out for free we would love to have you. We also need people who can come help scoop p**p, spray kennels, feed and water the dogs, and sometimes give medicine. If you want to become part of a wonderful organization then this is a great opportunity for you! If you have responsible children who would like to help you and are able to do the work then they are welcome too. It is not a playground. They will have to be supervised and follow protocol. It is very important that the cleaning is done correctly. Please reach out if you have any questions.

We also need people who want to walk dogs and take them to the play area for exercise and a break from the shelter.

If you are new to the group I would like to show you Aero! He is our longest shelter resident. He came to us in May of 2024 with his siblings as very young puppies. The siblings have found homes but Aero still remains searching for his furever family. A wonderful foster has taken him in and taught him how to live outside of the shelter. He loves other dogs! He is great with kids. He’s good with cats. And he loves to play. He only weighs 51lbs and is medium sized. He is a German Shepherd/Feist mix. He’s a really happy dog. He is housebroken and as you can see he loves to sleep with his blanket. He would love a home where he can play with kids and other dogs outside and be able to come inside and snuggle for bed. He will be going to Petsmart in Spring Hill this Saturday from 11 to 3! He’s a 10 out of 10 good boy!
