Can I get a show of hands of who plans on coming to the Wag-O-Ween event Saturday? Trying to get an idea of how much food to get. We will have hot dog baskets with chips, a drink, pasta salad, and a dessert for $10. All proceeds will go to High Forest Humane Society.

Little Sadie is loving life after recovering from being hit by a car. She is full of personality! It’s hard to believe it all fits in that little package. She is one year old and fully grown. She weighs 27lbs.

Venus was way too busy exploring to let me get a decent picture. But she is still available and wanted to make sure I let y’all know. She’s sweet as can be and was so shy at first. She’s coming out of her shell little by little. She is good with other dogs and cats and kids. She doesn’t jump on you. She’s one year old and weighs about 42 pounds.

Bear says, “I’m a German Shepherd too.” After finding out the German Shepherd puppy is getting adopted he wanted to remind you that he is in fact part German Shepherd, or so we think. He just turned one and he’s just a big ole playful puppy! He loves to play with toys and run around. He’s very friendly too. He’s been with us since May when we got him as a smaller puppy. Bear is good with kids but he doesn’t realize how big he is so he would need a little training on how to act around small children. He just gets excited and wants to be closer to you. But after meeting him you’ll want to be closer to him too.

Everest’s life started out rough when he was found in a tote at a landfill in Tennessee along with his 16 siblings. He was only 2 weeks old at the time. There was no mama in sight. High Forest took them in and luckily they were able to eat mushy food which helped because we assumed they would need to be bottle fed. Everest has spent his entire life without a home of his own. He’s still just a puppy but is a bigger pup now. He is so sweet and playful and it’s hard to imagine that he started his life in such a cruel manner. His estimated birthday is the day after Christmas. He is good with kids and other dogs. This boy has overcome the unimaginable and still has a wonderful personality. If you can find it in your heart to turn his life from rags to riches I know he would be the best friend you’ve been looking for.

Nova! Sweet! Good with kids. Playful. Likes to play fetch. Not great with all dogs but ok with some. She weighs 46 pounds. She is 3 years old. She’s my little buddy and she is so ready for a home again. She was good with the cat at her previous home and housebroken. We’ve had her since before Christmas making her our longest shelter resident.
