We are so happy to share with you guys that these big ‘ol babies have been reunited with their family!

They came in through animal control yesterday, and with a lot of time, patience, and shares from you guys we have safely gotten them back home today!

We love being able to help our community out in every way that we can, and we greatly appreciate everyone who helps us out in anyway they can! ❤️

‼Okay guys, we have figured out from some other people that these two DO have a family, that they were actually reunited with before in a past incident of getting out. However, they didn't know who the person was and we were not able to figure it out before the day ended and the weekends started, which was the goal. PLEASE HELP us find these sweet babies people! We know they miss them, are worried about them, and who knows what else. We will have them here at Horse Plus for the weekend, and when we get back on Tuesday, our efforts of finding these people will continue! But please help us share this post FAR AND WIDE so we can get them HOME‼

‼STRAY HOLD‼

These two Great Pyrenees were also brought to us from animal control today. We were told they had been hanging out at Summertown Metals for while. The golden one is a female, and the white one is a male. (neither fixed) They are very sweet, and seem to be attached to each other, we're betting they belong to the same person. They also have collars on... that have a place for an apple air-tag to go... but no air-tag. The female also has a bell on her collar. They both seem like they've been fending for theirselves for a while, and that breaks our hearts when they had very obviously had a previous owner, who went as far to get them air-tag collars.

This sweet girl, Babe, as we have been calling her, was brought to us this morning from animal control. We will be holding her on a 3 day stray hold. Does anyone recognize this sweet baby? She is very young, no sign of being spayed, and no microchip. Contact us if you recognize this sweet baby girl!

Blue was brought to us from animal control this morning! Luckily we were able to find his owner within the first 10 minutes of him being here! He was SO HAPPY to finally be reunited with his person, after the long three weeks away! I wish you guys could have seen in real time just how happy this sweet boy was.

We LOVE cases like these, when a scary few weeks of being lost turns into the happiest reunion and a sweet pup finally gets to go back home where he belongs.💙🐾

💟🐾MEET THE SISTERS- KIKA KAY & MISSY MAE 🐾💟

Double the personality, double the tail wags... and apparently double the bribery needed for a photo.🤣🥎

Say hello to Kika Kay🤎 (our brown-faced girl) and Missy Mae🖤(black & white)! These two sisters just turned ONE and arrived at our shelter today, so we're still getting to know everything about them- but they've already made quite the introduction.

Their paperwork says they're Lab/Basset Hound mixes, although we're not completely convinced.🤣 Whatever their mix may be, they're two adorable, short-ish, sturdy girls weighing around 50 lbs each.

So far we know:
🐾They are crate trained
🐾Approximately 50 lbs
🐾They are STRONG girls and will need someone ready to handle a little muscle💪
🐾They love to play- a ball was the ONLY way I was getting these two to sit still enough long enough for pictures today🥎
🐾They are very vocal and have no problem telling you what's on their minds🤣
🐾And underneath all that energy and personality, they are absolute sweethearts.💟

Kika Kay and Missy Mae have spent their lives together, so we would LOVE to see them adopted together if the right home is out there.🥹 However, we understand that taking on two dogs isn't possible for everyone, so they do NOT have to be adopted together. Finding each of them a loving, committed home is what matters most.

They literally just got here today, so these aren't even their "good" pictures yet- consider this your little sneak peak.🤣 We'll be learning much more about these girls as they settle in, but they are READY to be adopted, and can't wait to meet their new family!

Dear PAWS family,

Did you know every year, millions of unwanted puppies and kittens enter shelters simply because there are not enough loving homes for them. One of the most effective and humane ways to address pet overpopulation and reduce shelter overcrowding is prevention through spaying and neutering.

Horse Plus PAWS wants to help. We are launching this online fundraiser to help cover the essential costs of providing spay, neuter, and rabies services for local pets and families in need.

We know that many families and community caretakers want to do the right thing for their animals, but the rising cost of veterinary care can make it difficult. Horse Plus PAWS wants to help remove that barrier by making these essential services more accessible to our community.

By helping fund these surgeries, you are not only helping individual animals live healthier, happier lives—you are helping prevent unwanted litters before they ever happen.

Where Your Donation Goes

Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping provide essential veterinary care to pets in our community. Your generosity can help fund:

$30 — Covers a community rabies vaccine
$60 — Helps sponsor a community neuter
$70 — Helps sponsor a community spay

We are looking to help at least 5 families for the month of September.
