I hear from dog owners all the time who are thoroughly WORN OUT trying to occupy and tire out their dog, and I tell them that their dog thinks that it lives in Disney World….. that their dog wakes up and wants to Go Hard/Play and that WE become Their Favorite Toy.

I haven’t posted any Cali videos in a while, so tonight we did some PLAY and TRAIN

Mindlessly throwing the ball 🎾 to try to tire Your Dog out only makes them Pass Out, but when they wake up, they are always looking for that next “level of excitement” again and again

When we can incorporate training into our routine, everyone WINS 🏆 ✅

The adorableness of Lilo and Lumi training together is too much 🤩🩷

Lumi first learned to heel with Lilo.. see previous post, and then we taught him to stay, just by moving the right foot, for her

THIS IS BEYOND DANGEROUS 🆘

This is a Quick Trip Hazard !

Last night I caught my client driving this 3x and he had no idea that he could have gone flying. I continued to fix the lead but it kept ending up below his knees so I finally marked the lead for him

Everyone walks their dog, but most people don’t check their leash for their own safety 🆘

I love when kids want to train their dogs because they will be
Additionally, the dog will be less likely to nip or jump all over the kid, which in turn lessens the stress in the household every time!

Adorable 4 year old Ella trains with me, with her soon to be Medical Alert Service Dog every week, and at the end of each session, she doesn’t want to leave without seeing Chase, Thea and Cali❤️

My dogs have no greater joy than when my client’s kids want to see them ❤️. So blessed!

Ella is one of the amazing Warriors whose training, with her Frankie,
is supported by Chasin A Dream Foundation 501(c)(3)

These two are inseparable and Frankie is already proving that he is up for the task of being her Service Dog Furry Friends Humane

Did someone say distractions? 🤣

Maggie is training up Daisy for college, next semester,
and Maggie loves to taunt her cats, so Maggie decided to use one of Daisy’s biggest distractions to practice her focus work

Kudos Maggie! 🫶💪🎯. Most people try to use the small stuff for distractions, but not you!

Daisy is rocking her training with Maggie the helm! Just amazing to see the difference already in their relationship in such a short time!

Max does not know how to heel properly yet, but I do not use a “command word” until I Like What I See in his behaviors and movements. That would be like speaking in Spanish expecting someone who is Chinese to understand that you’re - asking for a glass of water

I start with placement, as in where do I want The Dog’s Head to land when we are walking.
I am also incorporating the Left Foot which will also be part of the “proper heeling” when we get there

I do not want the dog to:

*Sniff the grass or the ground at all when walking until I “free” him

* I want the dog to be focused on the handler, not every dog, truck or person who may be present, so I am teaching him focus using good head placement to start

10 month old Doberman, Max had NO “language” or communication skills when I met him 2 months ago.

Not only that, HE WASN’T SOCIALIZED at all!! All dogs require,
and need lots of socialization to be mentally and emotionally healthy!

But, MUST have it or they grow up thinking that everything NEW is a threat that needs to be confronted! 🆘

When this happens you no longer just have a pet, you have a Home Owner Liability Issue 🔐

Max is incredibly sweet and smart, but his owners realized that this was going to get very dangerous!

When I met him, thankfully on a leash, Max lunged right at me!! So happy to see his amazing progress ❤️🎯

Poor Finn … his parents told him that they were going to D.C for vacation, and now he is running around town, doing meet and greets, and holding meetings like he’s running for Congress 😂

Seriously though, Finn isn’t even two years old and this was his first major trip. He was a total rockstar through TSA, on the airplane, and now taking on D.C 🩵

I am so incredibly proud of him!!
