This poor girl is really scared in her kennel and is running out of time. Can someone please help or share?

Hi… it’s me.

I know you can see me.

I know you can see how scared I am.

I’m sitting here at Gary Animal Control, and I don’t know why I’m here. I don’t know what I did wrong. I don’t know why nobody has come back for me.

I’m trying to be brave… I really am.

But I’m scared.

Every noise makes me nervous. Every person who walks by makes me wonder if maybe they’re coming for me… and then they keep walking.

And I go back to waiting.

I heard they’re over capacity.

I heard there are too many of us here.

And I heard that means I may not have much time left.

I don’t understand what that means.

I just know I’m scared, and I need someone.

I need someone who won’t expect me to trust them immediately.

I need someone who will give me a chance.

Please don’t look at my scared face and think I’m broken.

I’m not broken. I’m just afraid.

Maybe I’ve never had someone promise me forever before.

Maybe I’ve never known what love feels like.

Maybe I just need someone to show me.

I don’t need you to be perfect.

I just need you to choose me.

Please.

My time is running out.

Big Dogs Don’t Cry is trying to save me, but they need someone willing to step forward and commit to me until I find my forever home.

I’m asking you with the only voice I have…

Please don’t let me die here because I was too scared to show you who I really am.

Please come for me.

Please give me a chance.

Please let me find out what it feels like to be loved.

I’m still here.

I’m still waiting.

And I’m still hoping someone says YES. 🥺💔

If any of our friends can help these or other kittens, please help! There's no power and no airflow at the moment and that's dangerous for these kitties.

These black kitties don't give bad luck, but they sure have had it.

We urgently need cat-free fosters (or foster-to-adopt) homes for these almost four-month-old kittens!!

They can go in pairs or as a group.

They have several upper respiratory infections that are contagious to other cats, but not dogs.

They are all extremely friendly, but have been stuck in cages since June 2, and they're going stir crazy!

Foster commitment is 2-3 weeks. They are getting an oral antibiotic once daily. The rest of the time, they are free to be their playful, kitten selves!

If you're interested and available, stop by the shelter and we will get you all the supplies you need to care for them!
