🐹 Rescue Update 🐹

We’ve had a few people ask recently if we’re out of female guinea pigs, and the answer is… not exactly! 😅

Right now, a large number of our girls are on baby watch. This does not mean they’re pregnant. It simply means they were exposed to males before coming into our care, and we have to wait out the appropriate timeframe before they can be adopted.

At the moment, we have around 11 females on baby watch, plus several other females and males that haven’t been posted yet. We’re hoping to get updated photos and profiles posted over the next few days.

So if you’ve been looking for a female guinea pig, don’t give up on us just yet! 💕

🚨 Please Screen Your Adopters 🚨

Whether you use a rescue, rehome on your own, or post in a Facebook group, please take the time to screen the people adopting your guinea pigs.

We received information today about an individual who has obtained multiple guinea pigs in ohio recently through various groups, and sadly, six of those guinea pigs have reportedly died in less than three months. We will not be sharing names publicly, but if you are considering placing guinea pigs with someone and would like us to check our records, please reach out.

Over the years, we’ve seen the same names come up repeatedly in conversations between rescues, fosters, and guinea pig owners. That’s why we keep a list of people we will not adopt to, and we’re always happy to help others screen potential adopters.

A friendly person, a nice message, or a promise of a good home is not always enough. Ask questions. Request photos. Verify setups. Trust your instincts.

These little animals depend on us to make safe choices for them.

If you’re unsure about an adopter, please ask for help before placing your guinea pigs. We’d much rather answer a few questions than see a piggy end up in the wrong situation. 💚🐹

The Cat Distribution Center has once again chosen me to help with their lack of planning. They gave me 4 kittens. Mom was back there also but we have not caught her yet. These babies are around 8-10 weeks at a guess. They are not sexed and have had no vet care. FREE from HIRAM to approved homes. You MUST show your cats past vet records and they must stay indoors. Spay/Neuters will be required by 6 months of age. The earlier the better. Please text 330-519-5127. We are not a cat rescue but we are animal lovers!!!

One of our amazing adopters shared this sweet photo with us, and we couldn’t resist showing it off. Seeing our former rescue piggies happy, loved, and living their best lives is the absolute best part of what we do.

Lord Faraquaad is looking for his forever home. His adoption fee is give us any gift off Ashlee’s Amazon wishlist or a packet of oxbow treats of any kind. He like stimulation and will need a wheel, large cage with at least 8 inches substrate. We do have new Niteangle wheels for $10. He will need a large fish tank as he chews plastic and wood on the pen. I have not seen him chew his other stuff up. He has about a 3-5 min holding span before he gets annoyed and will crab. He is for teens or older due to this. He LOVES to explore safe areas.

He is located in Hiram and has some longer fur on his side.
