We had hoped to share different news.
😿Agnes, the grumpy-faced little cat with FeLV and so much love to give, had a potential adopter. But they never showed up. And Agnes is still here.

Still just a year old. Still living with a terminal illness. Still waiting for a place to call home and a human to call her own.

💊We are continuing to give her the care she needs every day: abundant food and fresh water, pain management, a warm place to rest. But was she truly deserves is a home.

🏡 If you’ve been considering opening your home, or know someone who might be able to welcome a special cat like Agnes, please reach out. Because her illness is communicable, she needs to be the only cat in the household. But we know that her special person is out there.

🌹Love the beauty and timeless grace of roses, but scared to grow them yourself because you’ve heard they are fussy? Come join us in our lakeside rose garden and learn how easy it really can be to grow roses yourself!

We’ll cover planting, watering, fertilizing, pests, diseases, and winter protection, and you’ll leave with the confidence to grow better roses than your grandmother (individual results may vary 😄)

🤧Did this wacky weather make you wait to put your garden in? Did you think that you missed out on our heirloom plant sale because of it? We added an additional weekend just for you! And all our plants are HALF OFF!!

🌏In yet another nod to our changing climate, we have extended our plant sale another weekend! We heard from so many people that they were unsure about whether or not to put their garden in yet because the weather has been so up and down this spring. Well we are out of the frost woods now and you can still come get beautiful herbs, veggies, and flowers for your summer garden!

🏥🦙AN UPDATE ON DOLLY! 🩺

🙏Our girl is out of the hospital! After extensive diagnostics at Cornell, we were relieved to learn that Dolly’s recent weight loss appears to be connected to some dental issues, which will be addressed by our vets immediately now that she is home. Her eyesight is sadly gone for good now, as it was fragile for the last several years after the original bout of blindness that landed her in our care. She is otherwise relatively healthy for a 15-year-old llama, even one who cannot see! (Hopefully Sheika will resume her role as seeing-eye llama for her best friend🤞)

❤️While this is encouraging news, Dolly still needs our help to get through this next stretch of care. Her hospital stay, dental work, and ongoing monitoring and accommodations all come with significant costs, and every gift makes a real difference in helping us give her the comfort and care she deserves.

🦙Dolly recently and suddenly lost weight as well as her eyesight, and is now at Cornell Large Animal Hospital receiving diagnostics to determine whether there is a larger underlying issue.

💪 If you know Dolly’s story, you know how much she has already overcome. Dolly and her best friend Sheika came to Sweet Farm in 2020 after Dolly lost her sight and their owner could no longer care for her. After joining the Sweet Farm family and receiving proper care, Dolly’s sight returned! She has since been a reminder of resilience, healing, and the power of compassionate care.

Right now, Dolly needs that same compassion again.
🩺The veterinary team is working to find answers, and the tests, hospitalization, and specialist care add up quickly. Your gift today will help cover Dolly’s diagnostics, medical care, and recovery support while we learn more about what she needs next.
