Meet the team… aka the people your dog is currently learning life lessons from.

Yes, they were once small children, but they all had a passion for animals at a young age, and now they are responsible for things like trust-building, best business practices, and making sure the schedules run smoothly.

So basically… You handed your dog over to these humans and each of their inner child.

A week in the life of dog trainers!

No two days look the same here.

This week we worked through a mix of real-life training moments across different programs, showing what it actually takes to help dogs build better behavior, confidence, and communication in everyday environments.

A lot of people think dog training is just about obedience. Sit, stay, come, repeat.

But the real foundation starts way before that!

It starts with focus and relaxation.

If your dog can’t focus on you and can’t regulate their energy in different environments, then things like coming when called, not jumping on guests, or ignoring distractions become a lot harder than they need to be.

So instead of jumping straight to commands, we shift the picture.

Once you get your dog to relax and truly focus on you, simple commands become much easier. Your dog starts checking in, thinking, listening, and being present with the handler.

Poetry in motion.

A lot of the behaviors people label as hyper, anxious, or out of control are actually just your dog showing you their unmet needs.

Dogs don’t need only physical exercise, they need problem-solving, structure, enrichment, and an outlet for their brain just as much as their body.

That’s exactly what we do in enrichment daycare!

Not just play… but intentional and appropriate stimulation.

If you have questions, leave them below!

Meet Pippin!

Pippin is a golden doodle who came to us after being rehomed, when his owner hired us to evaluate what he already knew (which was a lot!).

His owner also lives with PTSD, so Pippin is now in service dog training to support her through daily life. He’s following a very similar path to Finn, but is at an earlier stage in his task work.

We focused on real-world structure:
Staying settled while I moved through aisles.

Holding position with distractions and shifting movement.

Practicing calm awareness without needing to be glued to me every second.

Building reliability in environments that mirror real life, not just training rooms.

Pippin is still building, still learning, and still gaining confidence in his tasks… but the foundation is already there.

Make sure you’re following us so you can keep up to date with Finn and Pippin’s journeys!
