It is hot out there, friends. 🐾
The kind of Lowcountry heat where everybody — two legs or four — is grateful for a cool-down. If your pup is due, this is a good week for it.
Necole has openings as soon as next week for just about everything (very specialized breed cuts book a little further ahead, so reach out early on those). It's the Dog People way the whole time: one dog at a time, right at your home, cool water, gentle hands, no rushing.
They come home clean, comfortable, and settled — exactly what a hot week calls for.

Slow is the whole point. 🐾
Summer in the Lowcountry is no joke — and the last thing a warm, nervous pup needs is to be rushed. So we don't. In our van it's one dog at a time, cool water, gentle hands, and zero hurry. You'd be amazed how much calmer the whole thing is when nobody's rushing.
Look at this happy face — clean, comfortable, and settled, exactly how summer grooming should feel. (And for you double-coat owners: a good deshed keeps them cooler than a shave ever could. That coat is working for them.)
Who's ready for their cool-down? Drop your pup's name below. 👇

We’re looking for the next right bather—
not the fastest one. The one who actually gets it.

🐾 Dog People Mobile Grooming Academy — Now Enrolling

We’re seeking the one who hears the quiet language of trust between human and dog.

Someone who already knows the difference between fast and good…
and is ready to turn that instinct into real mastery.

This is a 6-month, hands-on program inside a real mobile grooming business.

Not a certificate.
Not a crash course.
This is where foundation becomes a profession.

💥 What you’ll master:
✔ Advanced bathing, drying, and finishing with real quality control
✔ Confident handling of fearful, senior, and reactive dogs
✔ Full shave-downs, face, feet & sanitary trims—done correctly and safely
✔ Breed standard grooming across all coat types, sizes & temperaments
✔ The full mobile workflow—from van setup to final check
✔ Reading and regulating the emotional field of dogs and self

Because in a van…
there’s no hiding.
It’s just you, the dog, and your skill.

By early on, you’re already:
→ Performing full pre-bath assessments (coat, skin, behavior)
→ Choosing products with intention
→ Managing time, space, and workflow efficiently
→ Completing mini grooms with consistency and standards
→ Thinking like a groomer—not just following steps

💥 Who this is for:
→ Bathers with ~1 year experience and a clear next step
→ Or 6+ months strong fundamentals + real hunger to grow
→ Groomers who went through a traditional or corporate program and know they didn’t fully master sc******ng or pattern setting—and want to do it right
→ Someone who reads body language, slows down for the hard dogs, and chooses quality over speed
→ Coachable. Accountable. Serious about the craft
🚫 Not for hobbyists
🚫 Not for people chasing “easy money”
🚫 Not for those unwilling to be corrected

💥 Why bathers stay with us:
We honor time. We honor breath. We grow at the speed of trust.
Independent work with real support
Clear standards
Room to actually grow
A heart-centered, high-standard environment where
groomer wellness matters just as much as dog care.

If this feels like you—you’ll know.

At dog people, we believe the real magic happens in the space where professionalism meets heart. 🐾✨
Today’s reminder: service excellence isn’t just about what we do ~ it’s about how we make our clients feel.

Every groom, every conversation, every doorstep moment is a chance to deepen team/client relationships and deliver care that feels personal, remembered, and truly seen.

💛 A personal touch can be as simple as:
• Remembering a pup’s favorite calming cue
• Noticing when a pet parent seems overwhelmed and offering genuine reassurance
• Sending a quick check-in after a big groom, wellness concern, or first visit
• Celebrating the tiny wins ~ a less anxious dog, a smoother appointment, a happy tail

Our community doesn’t just choose us for convenience…
They choose us because they feel known, safe, and cared for.

As we step into the week, let’s lead with presence, compassion, and connection — the dog people way.
✨ Professional. Personal. Heart-led. Always.

If you feel your pup would thrive with our personal-touch grooming experience, reach out anytime — gently, easily — call or text Jane at 843.341.3322. We’re here to care for your dog like family. 🐶💫

As the mornings cool and fall settles in, something quiet begins to surface:
The stairs get slower.
The back legs hesitate.
The once-effortless hop into the car becomes a pause.

Autumn is beautiful in the Lowcountry—
but for our older pups, it often marks a shift in how their bodies feel.

At dog people, we don’t just groom—we notice.
We notice the subtle signs:
🌀 A change in posture during the bath
🌀 A wince while brushing hindquarters
🌀 A new limp on the walk to the van

Because we work one-on-one, curbside, with no crates and no rush
we get to see what’s real.

✨ And that’s where local, independent care makes all the difference.
We’re not a national chain with a clock to punch.
We’re neighbors.
Women in business.
Professionals who’ve watched your dog grow up—and slow down.

This fall, let’s be extra gentle with our senior pups.
🐾 Soft ramps where possible
🐾 Joint support
🐾 Shorter sessions
🐾 More patience

And if your older dog needs a calm, consistent grooming routine that adapts to their changing needs—we’re here.

📲 Call or text Jane at 843.341.3322 to book with a team that knows what this season means.
