Straight from the horse’s mouth 🤩

🏝️Guests agree that this summer, lifelong memories were made on the farm! We had a blast meeting families from all over the world and showing them our little corner of the Lowcountry. Next week we switch to our off season hours and ride times, but as always, we are open year-round and look forward to meeting you! ☀️

Our biggest group of any type of drafts, these awesome horses are a perfect mix of great strength and a tenderness you can’t find in any other. We have so many different crosses but they’re all 100% perfect for us! Many of our visitors will recognize these draft crosses:
Fly, Otter, Turtle, Peewee, Silverado, Smokey, Cinder, Flicker, Coal, Margarita, Mudpie, Forrest Gump, Ghost

⭐️ Fun Fact: Ghost is one of our smallest trail horses but he is technically a draft cross! He has a pony sized body but quite the large head and set of large feet. While it’s not an official breed, we like to call him a Draft Pony

Brabants are a powerful type of horse! Phyllis is our only Brabant but has all the perfect Brabant characteristics; kind eyes, polka dot butt, and a love for her people! She was a beloved Savannah carriage horse and we couldn’t be more grateful to have this gentle giant in our herd. She has made this farm a big fan of the breed!

Our collection of Belgians have always brought a smile to our faces. We have all three stooges; Larry, Moe, and Curly, as well as fan favorite Elmer Fudd. They all have similar backgrounds of pulling plows for the Amish in Kentucky and Ohio. Once hard working farm horses, they are now some of our best personalities on and off the trail.

Our face of the farm, Woody, is everything you could want in this famous breed. He is trained to pull a carriage and to ride! Staff recently have been enjoying taking Woody into our large arena to play “Lesson Horse”. He loves a job, whether that’s gate greeter or fancy lesson Clydesdale or even a trail buddy🫶🏻

The summer is wrapping up as the little ones head back to school!🍎 Our horses and small animals have had a blast inspiring these little cowboys and cowgirls all summer long! While the kids end their vacation, the herd is starting theirs!

✏️ Our trail rides will now be capped at 14 people per time slot, with our typical summer hours and ride times still going until Labor Day!

☀️ In the event of extreme heat, some trail rides or pony rides may be closed in order for our staff to focus on keeping the animals cool and comfortable!

📚 Stay tuned to our socials for summer recap posts to relive those sweet summer memories one more time!
