Well, today's the day we find out if Lavender is baking some tater tots... 🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏

I have not gotten my hopes up because it sucks when a breeding isn't successful and this breeding didn't go as I had wanted and planned for.

Due to past failed attempts with doing two standard AI procedures, I have changed my strategy to do two TCIs. Although more expensive, it provides a much greater chance of success.

My plan was to, again, do two TCIs, but that did not happen. Timing is EVERTHNG and that window is SHORT!

After three Progesterone tests to ensure Lavender was ready to be bred, the Repro Vet wasn't in the office for another few days, and the Vet has to do the TCIs. Upon her recommendation, we did a standard AI the firts time (preformed by one of the very capable Techs) and the Vet was to do a TCI two days later. That also didn't happen. Between (what seemed like) lack of confidence of the Vet and Lavender (being Lavender) not cooperating, we ended up with a "glorified" AI (not a TCI).

I know many dogs have great success and great litter counts with just standard AIs, that isn't what I wanted or planned for. (I truly miss Dr Weber!!!)

That 30 day wait just to find out is grueling!!! With that said, please send Lavender all of your hopes, prayers, and good juju because she absolutely LOVES the puppies and is ready for her turn to be a mommy!
