Friendly reminder as we start the week! 😉
Your curb strap affects the function of the bit. If it's in the wrong place the bit can rotate too far in the horses mouth, the bridle gets pushed into their eye and the purpose of using the shanked bit gets thrown right out the window. I prefer leather curb straps over chains and you want to be able to put 2 fingers between the strap and your horses chin.

We wrapped up a long week with a super fun show Paws for Reflection Ranch. These kiddos memorized their patterns and went and did great!
It was a nice end to a very long week since I spent most of the week sick and just surviving, definitely not thriving. 🤣

Did you know you should replace your helmet every 3 to 5 years no matter if you've crashed it or not? Extreme heat (like leaving it in the truck or trailer 😬) can effect function too.

I know it's summer time when the best barn help is back on his pretty buckskin mare. 🎉
Here they are from start to now. It's been pretty cool to see them grow up together. She was 3 and and he was 6 when they started. ❤️
