⚔️ All for one, and one for a forever home! ⚔️

Meet Porthos, the last remaining member of our Three Musketeers litter! His brothers have already found their forever families, and now Porthos is the lone Musketeer. He’s hoping his next adventure involves finding a family of his very own so he doesn’t have to be a one-puppy army anymore! 🥹🐾

Porthos was surrendered to us with his siblings, and we were told the trio are Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) and Pit Bull mixes. At just 9 weeks old and 16 pounds, Porthos is already a sturdy little guy with plenty of growing left to do!

He’s playful, sweet, and ready to trade shelter life for a home where he can be someone's favorite sidekick. ❤️

I need your help!

Only a few more weekends left of our yard sale and we still have ALL this stuff that needs to go!

What we don’t get rid of through the yard sale will end up going to good will or worse 😞 so PLEASE 🙏 come and get some stuff this coming weekends!

We have some plans for this area that we’d like to implement for the community but we have to empty out this garage first!

UPDATE ON THE KITTENS FOUND IN A TRASH BAG

We have some good news to share about the four newborn kittens found tied inside a trash bag on Lakefront Drive in Hillsboro. They are doing well in their foster home so far! ❤️

They are learning how to take a bottle and are being lovingly cared for by people rather than their mom. They have a long road ahead of them, but so far, these tiny babies are showing us that they are fighters.

We gave them names with purpose—names that represent what we hope their future holds:

Resilience. Legal Triumph. Survival. Fresh Start.

Their names may be tiny reminders of some very big things.

The investigation into what happened to these kittens is ongoing and just getting started. We will share updates when we are able, while allowing the investigation to proceed. If you missed their story you can find the original post pinned to the top of our page.

We also want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated and offered support. Because of your generosity, we were able to get kitten formula locally, and we are ordering additional formula online so we have plenty available as these little ones continue to grow.

These kittens were given a terrible start—but thanks to so many people stepping up for them, they now have a Fresh Start.

🍳🥞 Meet Denny’s & Frisch’s! 🐾

Two amazing pups named after restaurant icons that most of us grew up with and loved—and we think these two will provide that same kind of warmth, comfort, and happiness! ❤️

Denny’s (female) and Frisch’s (male) came to us through our Pawsitive Planned Parenthood Program, which helps prevent unwanted litters by getting mom spayed. And yes—Mom is getting spayed! 🎉

We were told these adorable little guys are a mix of Chihuahua, Dachshund, and Rat Terrier, and at around 9 weeks old, they’re currently just 5–6 pounds.

They are:
🐾 Fun
🐾 Playful
🐾 A little yappy
🐾 Absolutely ADORABLE

These boys are still young enough to have plenty of puppy mischief ahead of them, so their new families should be ready for all the fun (and occasional chaos!) that comes with puppyhood.

Denny’s and Frisch’s can leave with their families on a foster-to-adopt agreement until their spay/neuter appointments on September 11.

🚨 The September 11 surgery date is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adopters must commit to having their puppy altered on this date.

**Exceptions are small breed dogs/puppies, fluffy, Siamese, specialty cats, etc

All animals still come with same medical care including age-appropriate testing and spay/neuter.

🌈🐾 Meet Lady Rainicorn! 🐾🌈

This sweet little lady may not actually be from the Land of Ooo, but she certainly has the magical personality to match her name! 💕 Lady Rainicorn is a petite 20-pound poodle mix (our best guess) who is fully grown and estimated to be around 1–2 years old.

Lady Rainicorn came to us after being found as a stray, and we're so happy she landed here! She is sweet with people, has been good with kids, and has done well with other dogs so far. She also walks nicely on a leash and appears to be at least somewhat house trained. 🥰

She's spayed and ready to leave her stray days behind for good. Now she just needs a family who will give her the love, stability, and happily-ever-after she deserves. ❤️

🚨 EMERGENCY INTAKE & HUMANE INVESTIGATION 🚨

Four newborn kittens were found tied inside a trash bag in a wooded area off Lakefront Dr. in Hillsboro.

These babies were left with no way to escape — exposed to the risk of starvation, suffocation, and overheating. Thankfully, they were found in time by a line worker who was working at a nearby house. The line worker called the Sheriff who reached out to the Humane agent. They are now in our care, but they are extremely fragile and will need to be bottle-fed around the clock for the next several weeks.

PLEASE DO NOT POST INFORMATION OR ACCUSATIONS IN THE COMMENTS. This is an ongoing investigation, and not every theory or suspected person will necessarily be responsible. We want to avoid creating unnecessary issues while the investigation continues.

We know the cat and kitten population in Highland County is a serious problem. But this is not an acceptable way to handle unwanted kittens. There are resources available, and abandoning newborn animals in this manner is a cruel and terrifying way to die for babies who never asked to be here.

WE ALSO NEED KITTEN FORMULA

Our current kitten formula supply has been recalled and must be destroyed, leaving us with very little formula for these four babies — and kitten season is nowhere near over.
