⚠️ WARNING: Graphic Photos ⚠️

Emergency intake… the tiniest of all tiny kittens. 💔🐾

This little guy was found suffering from a horrible eye infection, so severe that the poor eye is bulging out. We’ve blurred the photo because it’s pretty bad — even for those of us who see cases like this regularly.

Based on his teeth, he appears to be around 8 weeks old, but you would never guess it by looking at him. He is dehydrated and severely underweight for his age, weighing just 0.75 lbs. His fur is dirty and matted against his skin, and he’s far too weak to even clean himself. He has clearly been without a mom for quite some time.

Thankfully, a good samaritan found him and refused to let him suffer alone. They were unable to transport him to us, but one of our amazing fosters stepped in to pick him up and rush him into our care. He needed us badly… and now we need you.

This tiny baby is going to require round-the-clock care to get him healthy enough for surgery. Unfortunately, it’s too late to save the eye, but it is not too late to save him. 🥺

Right now, he has been started on fluids, medications, and supportive care, and he’s finally resting comfortably with his new foster kitten siblings.

Please consider donating to help us cover the cost of:
🩵 Emergency veterinary care
🩵 Medications & fluids
🩵 Nutritional support
🩵 Upcoming eye removal surgery

Every donation, share, and kind word helps give this little fighter a chance at the life he deserves.

Thank you. We truly cannot continue saving animals like him without the support of compassionate people like you. 🐱💕

💲🐾 It’s $5 Friday! 🐾💲

Your donation dollars help animals like Snickersnack here, who was apparently attacked by another dog. A good Samaritan brought her to us after finding her lying by the road. Her shoulder was bleeding and swollen, and she cried in pain anytime it was touched.

After further examination, we found clear bite wounds on her front legs and chest/shoulder area. Thankfully, nothing was broken. ❤️ She’s now on the mend, healing well, and being a wonderful little house guest in her foster home.

Every single week we see animals who are sick, starving, injured, abandoned, or simply out of options and in desperate need of help. Your donations are what allow us to say “yes” when these animals need us most.

By giving today, you help provide:
🐶 Emergency medical care
🐱 Food and supplies
💉 Vaccines and medications
🏡 Safe foster homes
❤️ A second chance

No donation is too small — every dollar adds up and makes a difference for animals counting on us.

Please consider donating for $5 Friday and helping us continue the work so many animals need us to do. 🐾💕

🐾💕 Meet Mural 💕🐾

Mural is a sweet, sensitive girl who’s ready to find a home that understands her gentle nature.

🐶 About Mural:
• Approximately 1–2 years old
• 22 lbs, full grown
• Likely a mix of beagle/miniature pinscher (and probably a few other breeds too!)
• Will be spayed May 1

💛 Personality & Preferences:
Mural can be a little shy and skittish at first, but with patience and a consistent routine, she really starts to settle in and show her sweet side. She’s not a “take everywhere” kind of dog—she’s happiest in a calm home where life is predictable and not overwhelming.

👨‍👩‍👧 Kids:
We’re unsure how she feels about children, so we recommend bringing any kids along for a meet-and-greet.

🐕 Dogs:
Mural tends to “warning bay” at most dogs (which is where we think that beagle side comes through 🎶). Every once in a while she meets one she’s okay with. She may do better with smaller dogs, but we haven’t had the chance to see that yet.

🐱 Cats:
Good news—she did well with cats in a foster home!

🚶‍♀️ Other Notes:
• Walks nicely on a leash
• Can be selective with both people and dog friends
• Thrives with structure and a patient adopter

Mural is looking for someone who will give her the time, space, and understanding she needs to feel safe and loved. Once she trusts you, you’ll have a loyal little companion by your side. 🐾💖
She is spayed, vaccinated including rabies, on flea & tick preventative, tested negative for heartworm and Lyme, given dewormer and will be microchipped.

Adoption fee is $70. (Temporary lowered adoption fee during our Empty the Shelters event going on now until May 17.)

You can stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Monday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.
