I have been heavily debating on if Stryker would be happier living his retirement days here or as a house dog with someone else. If anyone meets the requirements and would want to come meet him reach out to me. I am going to be picky about where my retirement dogs go because I want them to be happier then what they are here. I have owned Stryker since he was a 8 week old puppy and he's now 4. He's a 45 lbs poodle and has recently been neutered.
*Must own another social dog. Stryker has grown up in a pack his entire life and he's very dependent on a buddy and would not do well being alone
*Hes very laid back and calm in the house. Likes to have love and attention. But also requires daily turn out so he can run. He walks well on a leash and is calm in the car. He might occasionally get car sick because we don't go in the car often 😬
*My dogs I own have never pottied on a leash. That is not the life style they have and to adapt to a life like that will be a very hard adjustment. They are used to going into a fenced in area to potty or be let loose and it's best to keep that same kinda routine and set up. So it's good to have some kinda fenced in area for him to get settled in and used to his new family and home.
*please understand that when you get an adult dog it takes a while for them to settle into a new home. Stryker will be confused and nervous at first but enjoys love and attention and will come around fast. He is more comfortable with woman over men. However old a dog is is how many months it takes for them to adapt. With him being 4 your looking at 4 solid months before you fully see him accept his new home. I have taken in a lot of adult dogs and you have to understand in there head they don't understand all the new changes. Rehoming my adults is the hardest part of this but I only have so much room and he's my biggest dog. If you would like to meet him reach out.
