🐾 Dog of the Week: Caesar 🐾

This week's spotlight goes to the handsome Caesar! ❤️

Caesar is a sweet Schnauzer mix! While many dogs enjoy taking breaks during their groom for extra cuddles and attention, Caesar is one of the rare pups who actually feels more comfortable when we keep things moving. For him, the best way to build confidence is to get straight to business, work efficiently, and help him get back to the person he loves most as quickly as possible.

Every dog is different, and one of my favorite parts of grooming is learning what makes each pet feel safest and most comfortable. Caesar has taught me that sometimes the greatest act of kindness isn't slowing down for extra snuggles—it's respecting what helps him feel secure and successful during his appointment.

Over the time I've worked with him, I've learned his quirks, his comfort zone, and the little ways to help make his spa day as stress-free as possible. Even though grooming isn't his favorite activity, he does such a great job and works hard to get through the process. Once we're finished, he always looks so handsome and ready to head home to his dad.

Caesar may not be the type to soak up all the extra affection during his groom, but he's a wonderful reminder that every dog communicates differently. Understanding and respecting those differences helps build trust, and that's exactly what grooming should be about.

Thank you, Caesar, for being such a good boy and for letting me be part of your care routine. We can't wait to see you again for your next spa day! 💙🐶✂️

One thing people don’t always realize about grooming?

Sometimes the biggest accomplishment isn’t the haircut.
It’s building trust.

Not every dog walks into the salon confident and relaxed. Some are nervous about dryers. Some hate having their feet touched. Some had a bad experience somewhere else. Some are just puppies trying to figure out the world.

So a lot of grooming is actually about reading body language and helping dogs feel safe.

Sometimes that means slowing down.
Taking breaks.
Talking softly.
Changing our approach.
Or deciding that emotional comfort matters more than getting a “perfect” haircut that day.

Because the goal isn’t just getting through the appointment.
The goal is helping your dog learn that grooming doesn’t have to be scary.

And honestly, owners who consistently bring nervous dogs in — even when it’s hard — are doing something really important. Repeated calm experiences help dogs build confidence over time.

That patience and consistency truly matters more than you know.

Update 6/5: Ollie was last spotted yesterday June 4 around 3:15pm near the post office. Please keep searching if you are able.

We need your help!
A pedestrian was struck on the corner of Main Street in downtown Edwardsville. The person was walking their golden doodle and the doodle ran away. Please be on the lookout and inform the police through the non emergency line if you spot him. Our thoughts are with the owner and the pup. Please help us spread the word so we can get this fur baby home!

🐾 Dog(s) of the Week: Bella & Princess!🐾

This week's Dog of the Week spotlight goes to the adorable duo, Bella and Princess! 💕💜 These sweet little Yorkies may be tiny, but they always make a big impression with their beautiful coats and perfectly polished style.

One thing that makes these girls so fun is that they each have their own favorite color. Princess loves pink, while Bella prefers purple, so grooming day always includes picking out the perfect bows to match their look. They especially love wearing their ponytails and always look absolutely precious when they're all finished and ready for their photos. 🎀✨

Bella and Princess are such easygoing girls during their spa days. They take everything in stride and make grooming a pleasant experience from start to finish. Their beautiful Yorkie coats require regular maintenance to keep them looking and feeling their best, and they always leave looking neat, fresh, and adorable.

It's always a treat getting to see these sisters and watching them walk out with their matching ponytails, colorful bows, and freshly groomed faces. They are the perfect example of how a little bit of grooming can make already adorable dogs look even more stunning!

Thank you, Bella and Princess, for being such wonderful clients. I always look forward to your visits and seeing which pink and purple accessories you'll be rocking next. 💕💜

Everyone help me show some love to this week's Dogs of the Week, Bella and Princess! 🐾🎀✨
