We teach children that having a pet is a huge responsibility and that, before adopting an animal, the family must be sure they have plenty of time, devotion, and love to give to their pet. Susie has become the poster dog for Susie’s Miracle Fund, Susie’s Law, and the Susie’s Hope™ nonprofit organization. The Susie’s Hope™ non-profit organization promotes education and awareness of the care and res

ponsibility required in owning pets as well as animal safety around unfamiliar animals. Although Susie’s Miracle Fund and Susie’s Law are not officially affiliated with our Susie’s Hope™ nonprofit organization, we have been very supportive of both groups through both donations of time and money in the past.

Georgie is a sweet-natured dog requiring immediate rehoming due to her current living situation becoming unsustainable. After her previous owner had to leave her, Georgie was left with their partner, who now wishes to relinquish her care due to her affectionate nature and high energy levels. Despite her loving demeanor, Georgie finds herself confined to one room most of the day and only occasionally permitted to engage in playful activities. Unfortunately, her excitement has led to an accident where she knocked over the current caregiver, who suffers from health issues and is increasingly frustrated with Georgie's demands for attention. Georgie has all her vaccinations up-to-date and has been spayed. She interacts well with children and other dogs. If you are able to provide a suitable home or temporary foster care for Georgie, please contact me urgently. The caregiver has stated that if a new home is not found promptly, Georgie will be surrendered to the Stokes County animal shelter, which has limited capacity and would likely result in a short stay for her.

Urgent: Remy, a small white and tan Chihuahua, has escaped from his dog sitter in the Statesville, NC area. He was wearing an orange harness when last seen on Winona Street yesterday. The owners have posted on Facebook and contacted local law enforcement, animal control, and acquaintances. Please notify me if you have any information. I am a friend of the family.

A pregnant cat has been abandoned in a Greensboro, NC neighborhood and was taken in by a friend seeking refuge. Unfortunately, the cat's pregnancy complicates the situation due to the friend's dog being aggressive towards cats. The cat is presently sheltered in a bathroom, and we are seeking a rescue or individual willing to provide a safe haven. If you are able to offer assistance, kindly let us know, and we will ensure the information is relayed.

As I care for my friend's two senior dogs, Gracie, almost 16, and Henry, around 14, I'm reminded of the heartbreaking reality that many elderly pets face when their owners can no longer care for them. Despite the extra work, I've cherished this opportunity to provide companionship and support to these precious animals. It's a poignant reminder that elderly pets, like humans, require more attention and care as they age. Rather than abandoning them, we should strive to provide them with the love, care, and compassion they deserve. By doing so, we set an example of empathy and kindness that will hopefully be reciprocated when we're in need. May God bless the elderly, both human and animal.

Meet Nala! She’s a sweet Chihuahua and Bully mix, born on April 17, 2024. Nala still needs one more set of booster shots and has not been spayed yet.

Her current owner, Heather, is heartbroken to let her go but is in a transitional living situation and wants what's best for Nala. She's looking for a loving, stable home and would deeply appreciate occasional updates and pictures.

Hi my name is LillianOxendine, We lost our home and are living on the streets. We have been staying at some of the shelters but they don’t allow dogs. We can’t afford a hotel room or boarding for our dog. My number is : 336-750-7159 if someone could Please Help! We just need help for 2 weeks until I can get my SSI check on the first. We have been staying in a motel some, and I went to pay the rest on the motel bill and someone took my money off my s. S Icard?
But please, if you could find someone to watch her for just 2 weeks. It's just so been so hard for us right now. I love my dog so much and don’t want to loose her. The pavement has been so hot on her feet and burning. She got a thorn in her foot and can’t get it out. If someone could just keep her for two weeks and I will get her. She is sweet and friendly, she has had her shots and is very sweet, around 30 pounds.
