Changes are upon us. Isaiah starts radiography school in a few weeks and John is settling into retirement nicely! With these new adventures we are changing up how we provide services. We will no longer be able to take around the clock sitting gigs. We are still offering 20 min drop ins and will do a limited number of overnight in home stays for current customers but we will not be offering day long sits with dogs moving forward. We will honor all gigs already booked for the remainder of the year and 2027. Although John will be helping out with the business, we want to spend more time together enjoying this season of our lives so to do that it means making some adjustments. We do thank you for your business and realize that with this we are saying goodbye to some of our customers. We are happy to refer folks to sitters that can fill the gap in our service offerings and are happy to be a resource for other folks wanting to start a pet sitting business. It has sustained us through some difficult times and has taught Isaiah some good skills as he has been doing this alongside me since he was 5 years old. Changes are necessary and changes are good and at the end of the day changes shape and mold us to weather any season of our life. Thank you for navigating these changes with us! Who knew our Christmas vacation at Myrtle Beach in 2012 would mean driving home via Fayetteville to pick up a puppy? We sure didn’t but are so glad we did! Suki came into our lives unexpected and we are so glad she became part of our family. Times flies and seasons change…this is a grateful yet sad season for us. Suki is forever 13 🌈

This is a brilliant contraption for grabbing eggs from a broody hen. This morning when a broody hen wouldn’t budge I found this in my client’s hen house. There were 2 broodies trying to keep me away but I could scoop under and grab the goods with this. When they peck away with displeasure they didn’t get my hands so I was the winner winner chicken dinner of this round.

This morning was one of those “Hallmark” movie snows. Just perfect! These photos are 3 of my 4 animals enjoying it as well. You may notice that I don’t post other folks animals on my social media outlets. To me, it’s a privacy thing. Although I do share photos of animals with my clients when their animals are in my care, I’ve just come to a place in life where I feel like that’s your business and you can share what you want to share. In the early days I shared a couple with the owners permission and you might see those as you scroll through. So with that being said you will see only pictures of my animals on social media and it won’t be daily or even weekly. But if I do share a photo with you and you want to tag me then that is quite alright. I do ask that you not share while vacationing as that just lets people know you are not home and that we are coming and going. We appreciate you keeping us and your pets/home safe.

Thankful for those who call on us for your pet sitting and house sitting needs. Did you know we also care for homes that don’t have animals? Yes, we can drop by daily to take care of simple tasks like mail/📦 pickups and place inside your home; not sure if you closed the window in the kitchen; left something on that needs to be turned off or the opposite; got a storm alert and your are in another country and just want peace of mind about your property; a monthly wine order is due to arrive and you don’t want it to disappear? So many things and these are a few scenarios we are familiar with. We, Anita, Isaiah, and John, who helps out when not working his full-time job, appreciate you!

Suki and Si ❤️ walking and running in our neighbor’s “back 40”. We use the SportDOG Brand training collars to keep them close. This morning was a perfect fall morning venture!
