October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month! 🐾💙

There are so many incredible dogs in shelters waiting for the chance to find a family of their own. Whether you’re ready to adopt, foster, volunteer, or simply help spread the word, every little bit of support can make a difference.

If you’re thinking about adding a new best friend to your family, consider visiting your local shelter and giving a deserving dog the second chance they’ve been waiting for. 🐶🏡

Already have a shelter pup at home? Share a photo of them in the comments — we’d love to see them! 💙

Thank you so much for supporting our patients, our team, and our community! 🐶🐱

What an incredible day! 💙🐾

Our CASE Continuing Education Event at the Hickory Convention Center was a huge success, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.

It was amazing to bring together veterinary professionals from across our community for a full day of learning, connection, and collaboration. From our presenters and vendors to every attendee who joined us, thank you for being a part of such a special event.

Events like this are a great reminder of how strong the veterinary community is when we come together to learn, share ideas, and continue improving the care we provide for our patients and their families.

A huge thank you to the Hickory Convention Center, our presenters, vendors, sponsors, and everyone who attended. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 💙

Jasper’s CASE journey is one we’ll definitely remember. 💙🐾

After another 24-hour hospital was unable to see him due to capacity, Jasper’s family drove more than 1.5 hours to bring him to our ER for a urinary obstruction.
From there, Jasper’s care continued with our Internal Medicine team, who performed a CT to get to the bottom of his ongoing urinary issues.
When surgery was needed, Jasper was able to transition right into the care of our Surgery team — all under one roof.

That’s one of the things we love most about CASE: our departments can work together to help patients like Jasper every step of the way.

These photos are from his 2-week post-op recheck with Dr. Herndon, and we were so happy to see that sweet face again. 🥹💙
We’re so glad you’re doing well, Jasper! See you at your next recheck! 🐶

Be sure to follow this sweet boy’s journey: Jasperz Creed 💙

Please meet Dembe, a 4-year-old Doberman who came to us needing foreign body surgery. The surprise culprit? A sock! 🧦

Thankfully, Dembe did great through surgery and recovered very well. He was such a sweet patient during his stay and loved giving kisses to everyone he met. ❤️

Pictured here with Dembe is Olai, one of our amazing ICU team members, who helped care for him during his time in the hospital. Olai does such a wonderful job making our patients feel as comfortable and at home as possible with cozy bedding, fresh food, and of course, plenty of hugs and kisses.

We’re so happy Dembe is doing well and recovering nicely! 🐾

Meet Koda Ellis, a 1-year-old mixed breed who came to us after being hit by a semi-truck.

Thankfully, Koda only suffered minor injuries to her back leg. Since then, she has been coming back every few days for bandage changes and continued care of her wounds. She is making great progress and is well on her way to recovery!

Here’s Koda with our team during today’s bandage change. Luckily, Lyndsey, one of our lead technicians and our resident “bandage queen”, was here to work her magic! She did an amazing job, with a great team right there helping along the way.

We are so happy to see Koda doing so well and continuing to heal! ❤️🐾
