Bode spent the day with us to celebrate his 3rd birthday. He had a great time seeing his old friends and was even kind enough to invite one to the pool with him.

Before and after shots of a "blown coat". Meaning the dog has a double coat and it’s shedding its winter coat and is officially ready for warmer temps. If you don't get that undercoat removed it traps heat near the dog’s body causing them to overheat faster, where as if it is removed, it allows air to get to the skin and allows the dog to cool down easier.
I know Jasmine felt a lot better getting all that extra hair off and can go enjoy this weather.

Nala’s first stay here AND her first birthday. How lucky are we?!
She’s super sweet and loves to play ball. Today she learned how to jump up on the play equipment and “drive” a car. Tomorrow she’ll try swimming for the first time.

How is it possible that Toby is now 3 years old!?
We’ve been able to watch him grow from a rowdy rambunctious puppy to a strong confident adolescent. He and his friends had a great day playing in the sun and celebrating his special day.

Happy Birthday to Calvin 🎂🥳

Calvin’s been part of the Hia Dog family for a year now. He works full-time as an attendant on the afternoon/evening shift but is willing to come in on the AM shift if needed. His calm quiet demeanor is an asset when working with the dogs. He’s a very dependable employee and we’re lucky to have him.
