It's been a tough couple years here at Jay's honeybee company. The 2024 honey crop unfortunately might have gotten contaminated and I didn't want to chance anyones health, so none was sold. This years spring weather was so rainy and cold, that the bees barely had enough food to feed themselves. A big oak tree also fell on some of the hives and the skunks have been feeding heavily on the bees, which also makes them a little bit more aggressive than normal. However through out the summer the bees were able to produce a surplus of honey and it has just been bottled. The nectar from blooming plants in the summer produces a honey that is darker in color than the light honey of the spring, but it is still generally mild in flavor. If there is honey produced in the fall, it is very dark in color and what many describe as a bold flavor. Here are a couple pictures of this years bottled honey.
