I often get asked “what is the hardest breed to train?”

My answer is boring, they are simply all very different and need specific, individual training based off of their temperament. (Along with other factors) One size does not fit all and what works for one may not work for the next. The hardest dog to train is the dog your trainer doesn’t understand. A good trainer understands dogs and how to get the best out of each and every one of them, regardless of breed.

Adding another dog to the family changes everything, sometimes it can be seamless but other times difficult. We want both dogs to succeed, which means introducing this new way of life correctly. We break it down with owners in great detail so that everyone can start moving forward with their new lives!

Consistency is key. Showing our dogs the correct picture and sticking to it. Dogs do not forget simple commands, most of the time they are just allowed to get away with negative behaviors which leads to them getting in trouble. Be consistent, make training a lifestyle not a punishment, give them the freedom they deserve through obedience. Need help? ⬇️

Rainy day training with Aspen!

When its time for socializing in a store setting, we are always there with our clients. We want to walk people through the good, or potentially difficult situations that arise. Our system builds confidence for both dog and handler while giving long term structure that lasts long after our course!

Training is a family affair

What does a dog see when they look at children they live with? A friend to play with? A chew toy? Someone to respect or someone to take advantage of?

We want dogs to have an expectation with children, along with very clear boundaries.

Expectation is building a relationship through obedience, using play correctly, building engagement so the dog sees the correct picture.

Boundaries are non negotiable. Establishing rules on what is allowed and not allowed. Consistency is key.

Dogs are very versatile, their potential might surprise you. Start them off with the correct training and watch them exceed your expectations.
