We’re a little lax on our social media upkeep, but we had a lovely time out at the final River City show of the year. Our riders brought home a whole array of placings and accomplishments, but most importantly everyone went out and had good, safe fun! We had some riders move into new divisions, try new heights, and some made their first show debuts! Thank you so much to River City Equestrian Events for hosting yet another well run, fun show. We look forward to the 2027 RCEE series, and the remainder of the 2026 fall shows! Next stop, Sac International Horse Show!

If you’re looking for a low stress, quiet barn where you can enjoy your horse without worry, we currently have two openings for training horses and clients at our Hunter/Jumper barn in Herald, CA. Very rarely do we have openings and because we have riders heading off to college we happen to have two openings this summer. We are a very private facility with individually tailored instruction helping you work toward your riding goals. We participate in a select number of shows yearly, both locally and regionally. We cater to riders of all backgrounds and skill levels, from the youngest riders just starting out, to those with competitive goals and aspirations.

Along side our training program we also run our lesson program. We have a safe and reliable string of lesson horses for those who do not have their own, as well as offer affordable lease options for those who are interested. We start riders as young as 5 and have instructors teaching lessons 6 days a week.

Give us a call or email today inquire today! We look forward to meeting you.

TOASTER STRUDEL GE
USEF: 5592519

2016, 14.1 1/2hd Sport Pony Gelding
By Hilkens Go For Gold and out of Makuba

Toaster is looking for his next kid to bring up this upcoming year. His current rider has outgrown him and is moving up to a horse, and he’s too large for my daughter to show the division with yet. He has shown extensively in the Large Pony Hunters on the west coast, does great in the rated Pony Eq. Has shown in the walk/trot and crossrails with a 6yr old, has done the children’s ponies, derbies, pony finals, goes on trails, and will go play in the jumpers. Has a solid counter canter, flying changes, clips, great for the braider, low maintenance, not a lot of prep needed to show (we send him for a light trot lunge in the morning). Happily lives in or out.

4️⃣5️⃣k for the year to borrow. Available to be tried at Autumn Classic at MEC next week.

We took off for 2 weeks in Kentucky, last week, and arrived for the Kentucky Summer Classic. After a few days of acclimating, Saoirse and Toaster Strudel GE laid down some lovely rounds in the Large Pony division, and the Large Pony Medal class. 8th and 4th out of 35 in the Larges and 4th out of 23 in the medals today. Tomorrow finishes off the division, and another medal, and then we head off into next week for Pony Finals! They’ll be in the Large Green Pony division. It’s both of their very first time competing at this caliber and we’re all very excited and maybe also a bit nervous. Cheers to next week!

This weekend Saoirse Fannon and Toaster Strudel GE bested a field of 22 to take home the ever elusive SAHJA Mini Medal Championship held at the horse show! The pair has been chasing the dream for a little over 2 years, having placed Res Champion last year. They lead the class in both the 1st and 2nd rounds and polished it all off in a lovely work off. Toaster, piloted by Saoirse, has turned into a beautiful hunter and equitation pony. All of her hours of practice and hard work have paid off and we couldn’t be more proud of the pair! Congratulations, Saoirse, you rode beautifully!

We had a great time at both weeks of the Sacramento Spring Classics at MEC! Lots of fun, ribbons, accomplishments, learning moments and wins! Alivia and Ditha Blue showed in the 1m, and 1.10m jumpers. This was their first time showing an entire 1.10m division and Alivia rode her heart out! Saoirse and Toaster Strudel GE showed in the Large Pony Hunters, and the Pony Eq. She qualified for Pony Finals, and the National Pony Derby! Caroline also showed Toaster in her first open Walk/Trot classes and was great! She also snuck in a quick crossbar class for her first time ever going over crossbars with Toaster. We may have bribed her with Dippin Dots, but man she earned those. Huge thank you to everyone who made these last 2 weeks go so smoothly!

So proud of all the Gemini kiddos taking a trip to for the most fun, laid back schooling show. 💛 Hawthorn is seriously doing something amazing for our little horse community of up and coming equestrians. Thanks for such an amazing time.

Congratulations to all of our 2024 horses and riders! We had a great time at the awards banquet this afternoon, honoring all the hard work everyone put in last year. A big thank you to all the parents, grand parents, siblings, friends, and our wonderful network of trainers for all the long hours, late nights, early mornings, and literal blood, sweat, and tears spent bringing this wonderfully ornery group of riders up. It’s been a blast and I can’t wait to do it again this year!

SOLD;

2017, bay Thoroughbred gelding with a large star and light amber eyes. Solid w/t/c, started lead changes and gets them more often than not. Started over fences, jumps around 2’6 currently, though I’d still call him green over fences. Lots of try, forward ride, and very personable. I see him more jumper inclined than the hunters, but he does carry himself well. Needs an experienced rider, or a jr/am in a program as he is still young. Low 5’s starting with 1️⃣5️⃣

What a show! We just finished up our week out at Murieta Equestrian Center for the MEC Halloween Spooktacular Horse Show and wow, what a fantastic week all around. I think this has been one of the most positive, successful, fun filled horse shows that we’ve collectively had in a long time. Nearly everyone championed in their respective divisions, set new show records for themselves, or won money in some of the many stakes or derby classes offered. Show proofs were included in our show entries, so we have a plethora of fantastic photos from GrandPix. Thank you River City Equestrian Events for putting on such a fun show. We had a blast and this was a wonderful end to our 2024 show season.
