Body condition is awful! She has a keel like a butterknife with nearly no muscle mass.
Visibly crawling with long bodied feather lice and avian body lice.
Flight and tail feathers heavily stained.
Visually matching stains on the muffs are blood.
More than half the feathers on both feet broke half way through development, bleeding extensively.
Dried blood crusted over the toes and in the folds of the leg. A lot of it was lost!
Vibrant green stains around the vent.

Initial lice dip 9/23/26.
Ineffective. Still crawling the next day, so she will need 3 more total.
9/24/26 Labs found trich, coccidia, and strongyloides eggs.
Initial ivermectin and strongid doses given 9/24/26
9/25/26 Found worms in every p**p!!

Serket is a bold, playful little man who isn't bothered by anything, so long as Titan is within his line of sight. She is the whole world, as far as he is concerned.

They are unusual in their absolute ride or die loyalty to one another, neither being remotely interested in another partner, even for a fling.

Serket understands what the harness is for, but doesn't especially like it yet.

He and his wife are looking for an indoor pet home with people who will enjoy watching their interactions and give them plenty of space and time to explore their environment and build their relationship with their human family.

Retired due to the strange cere growth on the right side of his face. It seems to be cosmetic, but may alter the shape of his sinus cavity.
Pants was a house pet when he was surrendered, but has always been standoffish around people.

Among other birds, he's fearlessly confident.

Pants was so completely unfazed by hurricane Helene and the power loss that followed that he kept the rest of my flock perfectly calm with his cheery chill.

That generally happy temperament does not extend to interacting with humans.
He's very well crate trained and we are working on a bedtime routine.

Pants is very skittish and does not like to use the harness, but we are working on that. He's tolerant of show hold, and is fairly easy to harness, but much prefers to walk on his own than be carried.
His direction work is decent, but he will still occasionally try to launch.

He would do best in a loft, but may adapt to being a house bird, if he is allowed to bond to a human social hen.

Ninka has learned a new way to injure other birds.

Cher didn't bleed nearly as badly, or as long as Fancy did, but blood feathers were ripped out of his middle toe the same way.

Clearly, Ninka remembered that works, and that's a real serious problem.

Birds don't have much in the way of clotting factors, and they absolutely can bleed out from an injury as small as a torn blood feather.

Even if Ninka settles down here, over whatever span of time, I can't guarantee anyone who may take him into their home that he wouldn't potentially maim the birds who already live there.

He would have options if he liked or was even comfortable enough with people to be a single house bird, but I honestly don't think he is likely to get to that point.

I'm not sure anymore what benefit there may be to waiting before making the B.E. decision..
