✨ Please join us in giving a warm welcome to the newest member of the Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care family, Dr. Kim! 🩺

Dr. Kim grew up in Queens and has always had a strong interest in working with animals. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2017. Before moving to Rochester, Dr. Kim worked in Long Island in general practice. Dr. Kim’s areas of professional interest include Internal medicine, shelter/rescue medicine and surgery. His favorite part of working in veterinary medicine is helping pets live happier and healthier lives while building lasting relationships with pet owners.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his two dogs and three cats. His hobbies include running, fishing, playing the violin and video games.

We’re excited to announce and warmly welcome our new Medical Director to Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care, Dr. Kwiatkowski!

Dr. Kwiatkowski earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical training at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a dedicated veterinary leader and Western New York native with more than 15 years of clinical experience spanning general practice, surgery, emergency medicine, and critical care. Her expertise includes preventive medicine, emergency and critical care, while interests include internal medicine. As a Veterinary Medical Director, she is committed to fostering a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, compassionate patient care, elevating medical standards, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement in patient outcomes and client experience.

Her passion for veterinary medicine began at an early age through her involvement with wildlife rehabilitation, where she developed a deep appreciation for the impact that skilled medical care can have on both animals and the people who care for them. This foundation continues to guide her leadership philosophy and commitment to advancing veterinary medicine. She feels it is extremely important to guide both patients and their families through complex medical challenges and believes that exceptional veterinary care is built on trust, communication, and a strong human-animal bond.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Kwiatkowski enjoys spending time outdoors, exercising, cooking, and traveling. Above all, she values time with her two children and embraces opportunities to explore new places and experiences with her.

Peanut the 🥜🐰 came to us for urgent care after his family noticed a decrease in f***l output, something we take very seriously in rabbits! After an exam, x-rays, fluids, and medications, this sweet little Holland Lop was already feeling much better. 💛

Here he is recovering in true bunny fashion, as an adorable (and slightly offended) bunny burrito. 🌯🐇 We’re happy to report Peanut is back on the road to feeling like himself again!
