It's back to school season! 🍎🎒✏️

While the kids are getting back into their routines, it’s a great time to help your pet get moving, too. Throughout September, all physical rehabilitation packages are 20% off at our Glen Allen location!

Physical rehabilitation can benefit pets recovering from surgery or injury, as well as those experiencing arthritis, weakness, reduced mobility, or other conditions that make it harder to move comfortably. We’re thrilled to introduce Bri as she steps into a new role at Locke Taylor, continuing our rehabilitation program and helping our patients get back to doing the things they love.

Bri brings her experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician along with a passion for helping animals recover and feel their best.

She is very excited to join the team as a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist! In 2015, Bri earned her bachelor’s in Psychology and Biology. Her journey with animals began at the Atlanta zoo, where working with primates sparked her passion for veterinary medicine. She became a licensed veterinary technician in 2022 and has since gained extensive experience in anesthesia, surgery, and post-operative care.

Animals have always been at the heart of what she does, and she’s looking forward to combining her veterinary experience with her passion for helping patients heal, regain mobility, and enjoy a better quality of life. Outside of work, she loves traveling, exploring local festivals, shops, trails, and restaurants with friends and family.

If you guessed TEN puppies in our X-ray post from yesterday, you were right! ✅

Gabby, a German Shorthaired Pointer, came to see Dr. Greenwalt for a prenatal appointment at 65 days. She was scheduled to have a C-section with Dr. Lindvall the following day...

But Gabby had other plans! Overnight, she delivered ten healthy puppies all on her own. ❤️

After caring for so many of our rehabilitation patients, our rehab technician Kim will be leaving Locke A. Taylor Veterinary Associates. Her last day with us will be next Thursday, August 27.

But before she goes, Kim is making sure the rehab baton is in good hands! She’s handing it over to Bri, who will be stepping into the role and helping make the transition as smooth as possible for our patients and their families.

Kim built our rehabilitation program from the ground up and has poured so much time, care, and expertise into helping it grow. We’re incredibly grateful for everything she has done for our patients and their families over the years.

We’ll miss having Kim here, but we’re excited to have Bri carry on the program she built and continue providing the same thoughtful care our rehabilitation patients know and love.
