Apple season is here, and this celebration is dog friendly! 🦮

Grandad's Apples N' Such is hosting their Labor Day Harvest Festival from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily. Free admission, about ten minutes up Chimney Rock Road from us.

Four days of fresh-picked apples, c***r donuts out of their own bakery, local food trucks, 20+ local vendors and small businesses, live music, and a corn maze. Everything about the weekend is built around local, which is a thing we happen to care about a lot.

Taking your dog? A few things worth knowing: bring water and a travel bowl, keep them leashed around the food trucks, and don't let them snack on the apples that have fallen on the ground. Gravel and warm ground are hard on paws over a long day, so check them before you head home. And if crowds and live music aren't your dog's idea of a good time, there's no shame in a short visit.

Whatever the orchard sends home with you, our DIY Dog Wash is open until 3 PM daily.

All month long, every packaged and bulk treat in the store is 15% off; soft, dehydrated, and biscuits included. That covers the training treats you go through fastest, the chews that actually keep a dog busy, and the bulk bins you can mix and match.

Happy National Dog Day! 🐾 Every wagging tail, muddy paw print, and sneaky, slobbery kiss reminds us why dogs make life better.

Looking for a fun weekend outing with your dog? The Sourwood Festival is happening August 8-9 in downtown Black Mountain, and it's dog-friendly! 🐾

Expect over 150 vendors, local sourwood honey, festival food, and live music; plus plenty of sidewalk space for your pup to strut alongside you. Saturday runs 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM, with free admission.

Quick tip from us: August afternoons can get warm, so bring water for your dog and keep an eye on hot pavement. Stop by Pet Source beforehand if you need a travel bowl or cooling gear for the trip. 😉
