Pets are allowed in our main market area, but are not allowed into the u-pick orchards. The last u-pick wagon leaves at 3:30 on Saturdays and Sundays. If you would like to participate in u-pick or to take a wagon ride, please arrive and board a wagon by this time.

Want to pre-determine when your group will get to u-pick during your visit at the farm and skip some of the lines? We are excited to take u-pick reservations at the farm for the upcoming season!

A reservation is NOT required to visit the farm or to enjoy any of our goodies and activities outside of the u-pick experience, and we are happy to accommodate u-pickers without an advance reservation as space allows, but making an advance reservation for u-pick will be your only way to guarantee that your group will be able to u-pick while visiting the farm.

You spoke, we listened: We will now take reservations for u-pick at the farm 🍎

Above all else, we are committed to doing all that we can to ensure that any time you spend with us is the best experience it can be. To protect the quality of your experience with us, we are now taking reservations for u-pick at the farm.

A reservation is NOT required to visit the farm or to partake in any of the other areas of the farm, such as the bakery, playground, smokehouse, etc. A reservation is ONLY required for each individual who desires to u-pick during their time at the farm.

After the Orchard Barn debuted in 2025, the Back Porch quickly became a favorite new spot on the farm. With rows of rocking chairs and a sea of seating, you will find the Back Porch to be an escape within an escape here at the farm. Gazing over the best view of the farm, you can pull up a rocking chair, sip on a beverage, and soak in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the farm, The Back Porch is proud to offer the newest Cider Co. location. Featuring JMF hard ciders on tap, along with JMF wine, sparkling cider, and cider slushies, be sure to grab your favorite drink before settling in to enjoy the afternoon with us.

The Johnny Appleseed playground is 6,000 sq. ft. of indoor playground bliss! From slides to tractor tire trampolines, basketball hoops to a hay mountain, there is something every age to enjoy! And with a large observation deck, parents can relax, enjoy their own farm treats, and let the kiddos play. It's a win for everyone, rain or shine!

The playground is open any time the farm is. 2026 open dates will be announced soon - we can't wait to welcome you back to play with us!

Join us in giving a huge congratulations to our Postcard Project winners! 🏆

We are happy to introduce the 1st ever Jeter Mountain Farm local artist of the year: Lindsey Sabatka!

We are so impressed with the incredible submissions we received, and are touched by the level of participation we had in helping choose the top 3.

Be sure to stop into the market this season to see some of this beautiful artwork on postcards - and maybe even more! We look forward to making this an annual event, and are proud to live in a community filled with such talented artists and individuals.

Calling all voters - help us pick a winner for our Postcard Project!

We've narrowed our submissions down to 8, and we want you to take it from here! It's simple: Vote for your favorite local artist by "liking" the photo of their submission. Be sure to look through them all before casting your vote! On Monday, May 18, the submission with the most votes will win! (voting will take place on both facebook and instagram)

1st Place Winner will be named Jeter Mountain's local artist of the year, will receive a $100 gift card to the farm, be featured on a postcard, and be offered other collaboration opportunities in our market.

2nd Place Winner will receive a $50 gift card to the farm and be featured on a postcard.

3rd Place Winner will receive a $25 gift card to the farm and be featured on a postcard.

And who knows - if it's close, maybe there will be a few more opportunities to be featured on a postcard as well!

We want to thank everyone who shared their beautiful artwork with us. It has been such a joy to see how others have been inspired by the beauty of the farm, and so rewarding to see it portrayed by such talented perspectives. Happy voting!

The Orchard Scoop opened its doors fall of 2025, finally bringing a long-requested goodie to the farm: homemade ice cream! 🍦

The Orchard Scoop is proud to serve rotating seasonal flavors churned fresh right there in the creamery, always made with love and farm-fresh ingredients! Featuring ice cream cones, cups, and floats, there are lots of opportunities to discover your favorite flavor.

Calling all artists! Help us with our JMF Postcard Project!

We have been amazed through the years at the incredible works of art visitors have shared with us after a visit to the farm. Whether a painting, drawing, photograph - or whatever your preferred medium - we'd love to see what the farm has inspired you to create!

We would love to feature artwork that the farm has inspired on a new selection of postcards in our Farm Market. As visitors come to our area this summer and fall, we would love the work of a local artist to be the keepsake that they choose to remember WNC by.

Please submit your artwork for consideration by messaging it to us, emailing it to [email protected], or commenting it below! We will announce the next steps of our Postcard Project next Friday, May 15, so be sure to a send picture of your work to us by then!
