Some progress today as used the heck out of both chainsaws to remove all trees from fences. Tomorrow we rebuild! Eternally grateful to Patrick’s command for allowing him to come home before the storm hit. I’d be lost without him most days, but only PJ can work this hard.

The barn is CLOSED until at least Tuesday! Don’t worry, horses are all safe & warm, but we have some major repairs to do thanks to the frozen rain & resulting ice.

We have several trees down on fence as well as around the farm that will need to be cleared, but we need to let this rain wrap up so we don’t put ourselves at risk while working. So far we still have power which is huge. As we get prepared for temps to plummet, we hope to keep power.

Please stay safe & allow us to get the farm safe for you to return. We will do our best to have things cleaned up by Wednesday, but who knows what’s in store the rest of the day.

Prepped for the crazy storm ahead. still has some electrical projects to set us up with a backup generator option for the well pump once he’s here, but otherwise we feel ready. Not only did the incredible Hannah bed extra deep for the next few days, she also cleaned out the hay barn so we could add a load hay and helped stack about 35 bales in the barn so doesn’t need to slip around moving it daily. Thank you to for helping get waters filled and hoses drained. And for wrapping up the week of rides with another great one. Let’s see if this storm lives up to the publicity hype (please no)! And yes, Frida is upset she’s inside but glad to be snuggled in her blanket!

There is a winter storm advisory for Friday night through Sunday with extremely low temps through Tuesday. In order to keep all of our clients and employees safe, we will be making the call to cancel Saturday lessons if the roads are looking unsafe by Friday afternoon. For Monday and Tuesday lessons, please look out for announcements regarding road conditions and temperature restrictions. We apologize for the inconvenience, but want to keep everyone safe and healthy!
